"Prasad (literally translates as "mercy" or "grace") refers to any material substance that has been touched (and therefore blessed) by a Master. An emanation of God's grace, the Master infuses His/Her blessing into the object (often food), consecrating it into what is known as Prasad. It is then ingested, worn, or otherwise used to enhance one's connection with the Divine. This sacred object will then purify and transform the body, mind, and spirit.
