In mid-February, Louix returned to be with His beloveds in Las Vegas for two more bliss-filled events, held once again at the beautiful Sun City MacDonald Ranch. On February 20th, He gave darshan to over 70 people, and two days later He led a silent meditation. Then, while still in a very God-intoxicated state, He traveled the room and anointed each person with vibhuti. After He returned to His chair, He answered various questions from the audience, delivering many priceless discourses to those in attendance. We offer our heartfelt gratitude to the spiritual community of Las Vegas for their wonderful welcome, service, and commitment to helping us share Louix's love and teachings with the world.

Unbeknown to us all was the Master’s imminent revelation (before completing the 13 days) that He would continue this fast for a full 40 days and 40 nights, twice the duration of the longest Louix has ever undertaken. A fast of this length is a most rare and auspicious event. It is for this reason that we wish to inform others, that they may unite with Him in consciousness at this time, to more deeply and profoundly avail themselves of the blessings that are available by way of this sacred event.

Louix’s fast shall complete at 1:00 p.m. on March 21, 2010, also the day of the Spring Equinox. Many have already spoken that they plan to again join Him in fasting for the last several days or for the last week of His fast, to again accelerate their own cleansings, and for the powerful, synergistic transformation they will derive by so doing. If you choose to be one of this cadre of souls, as always, “Listen to your body. Obey its requests. And, if you are not accustomed to fasting, please—by all means—do so with proper mentoring and guidance.”

May we all celebrate in the Oneness of His love. Thank You, Guruji, for doing this for us all. We are so blessed. We are so grateful.

On November 14th, Louix Dor Dempriey gave darshan to eighty-five people at a private home in Las Vegas. Markus Kasunich, Louix's personal assistant, gave an introduction and an opening prayer, and then led the group in chanting "Pranananda Om's" (Louix's Sanskrit name is Bhagavan Sri Pranananda). Louix then began the event by guiding the group on a meditative journey, wherein each person traveled into a moonlit forest and communed with a fairy. As we were softly drawn out of meditation, each person came to the feet of the Master, one by one, to receive His blessing. Louix entered the transcendental state of consciousness known as samadhi, and, for the next three hours He gazed deeply into each person's eyes, delivered guidance and Revelation, and beheld everyone as His children with a compassionate, love-filled gaze. As His love filled everyone's hearts, some sobbed uncontrollably, some bowed in reverence, and some people's bodies shook as the Divine energy coursed through them.

After the last person came before Him, Louix sat quietly for a moment with His eyes closed and continued to radiate His energy to the entire room. A palpable feeling of peace and love now overflowed from everything. As one participant said, "Each of us, in our own way, knew that we would never be the same."

It is with great joy and excitement that we announce this year’s celebrations to honor the 48th birthday of Louix Dor Dempriey (Bhagavan Sri Pranananda). Each year, disciples and devotees around the world hold a three-day celebration as an expression of our gratitude for His presence in our lives and on this planet, and to attune to His Divine energies that are available to all on this hallowed day.

Each year, Louix spends His birthday with His beloveds in a different part of the world. This year, Louix will attend His birthday celebrations at Sundara Aravinda Ashram in Melbourne, Australia. His ashrams all over the world will host various events and gatherings, which all are welcome to attend. To begin each day of celebrations, Louix’s ashrams will perform an aarti ceremony. During these three days, many people also choose to fast or abstain from particular habits, as an act of devotion.

To invoke Louix’s presence during this auspicious time, you may wish to create a sacred space in your home, which can include an altar with His picture and other adornments upon it, or a special chair decorated with fabrics. Cleansing your home by burning sage or incense, or ringing bells, is a powerful way to increase sacredness during the celebrations. You can also invoke Louix into your dreams and meditations to experience more deeply His essence of unconditional love.

The first day of celebrations will be dedicated to serving others. You may choose to offer service to a family member, a friend, someone whom you have taken for granted, or a group in your local community in need of assistance. You may also choose to serve Mother Earth by participating in Louix’s Global Clean-up Project or Forests of Fruit initiative.

The second day of celebrations will consist of inward reflection upon the significance of having Louix's love and wisdom guiding our lives. On this day of introspection, we set aside time to rekindle gratitude in our hearts, and rediscover the joy and wonder it is to be on the path to liberation, walking with a God-realized being. Journaling our thoughts and reflections, as well as sharing these with others, are excellent ways of deepening these blessings.

Louix's birthday will be celebrated with a festive night of bhakti (devotion), as we express our love for Louix with an evening of Devotional Singing—a public event which will be hosted by His ashrams and study groups. We will invoke His presence with songs and chants from many spiritual and cultural traditions. If you are unable to attend this event, you may celebrate by inviting friends and family to join in your own night of devotional singing or listening to your favorite uplifting music in His honor.

On October 21st, Louix Dor Dempriey and several disciples from Prema Drala Ashram arrived in New York City and received a heartfelt welcome from their New York spiritual family. The next five days would prove to be a transformational experience of unconditional love for all those who had the blessing of being in His presence.

Here is a schedule of the events that took place during Louix’s visit:

On October 22nd, Louix gave darshan at the New York Open Center. He opened the event with a guided meditation in which He took the audience on an inter-dimensional journey, wherein each person received blessings from masters, saints, angels, and celestial beings. The meditation flowed smoothly into the next phase of the evening, during which the guests would come one by one to the feet of the Master to receive a personal blessing. People continued arriving over the course of the next  four hours. People from various walks of life, paths, and beliefs—some of whom had never before been in the presence of a Master—were transformed by the purity of His love.

The evening ended with discourses on "The Romance with The Beloved"; the necessity of focusing on self-purification; and a detailed treatment on the act of receiving darshan (the living vibration of God) from a Master:  what it is, how to best prepare oneself to receive this blessing, its significance in one's spiritual evolution, as well as some insights into the subtle nuances of darshan given by different Masters.

Two days later, Louix returned to the New York Open Center, where He led a one-day retreat for twenty-five eager souls. He began the event with a sacred ceremony which induced in many a state of profound bliss. After a break, Louix shared stories from His Initiate training and provided counseling on myriad topics such as:  transcending fear, UFO’s, "surrendering to God," "following your heart," and "how to calm the mind."

This day of communing with the Divine ended in a Sufi-inspired ceremony, in which everyone radiated their love and gratitude to one another in beautiful twin circles of love.

A growing community of spiritual seekers in Las Vegas invited Louix to their city for the first time during the second week of July. Kitty Courtney and Sean Brown, who lead several spiritual groups in Las Vegas, graciously hosted Louix and a team from Prema Drala for a series of events at their home in Henderson.

For weeks prior to the Evening of Darshan on July 18th, momentum was building through various events and media coverage, including:  two interviews on Reverend Thabithi’s radio show The Empowerment Hour on AllTalk Radio www.alltalkradio.net/alt/, the first with Markus Kasunich (10-year disciple and personal assistant to Louix), and the second with Louix; and an article in the inaugural edition of  The Las Vegas Metamystic (www.themetamystic.com), which featured information about Louix, His teachings, and the Louix Dor Dempriey Foundation and its various programs (click here to read the article).

Markus also led several events during the week prior to Darshan, including individual healing sessions, Pranayama (a sacred breathing technique), and Satsang. The following are some comments about these events:

All of these events culminated with the Evening of Darshan. Eighty-five people came this special evening to receive Louix’s blessing, which, for many, invoked profound transformation and exalted states of bliss.

As each person knelt before Louix, He removed physical ailments, provided profound guidance about their lives, and infused them with unfathomable amounts of Divine love and light.  People from all walks of life and from myriad paths and beliefs, some of whom had never before been in the presence of a Master, were inexplicably drawn to be a part of this experience—of receiving Louix’s unique expression of unconditional love.

A man who was dancing ecstatically to the kirtan music that resounded in the background during the evening said, “This is a celebration! I am overjoyed to witness Louix taking away the people’s pain.”  Another woman, who could barely walk because of the immense pain in her body, received her blessing from Louix and walked away exclaiming, “This is incredible! He took away the pain in my knees! He took away my pain…”

After everyone had received Darshan, those who remained in the room sat completely intoxicated, swooning in the love and singing songs of devotion and gratitude for the magic that has just transpired…

Enjoy this beauteous floral slide show (see below) while you listen to Louix Dor Dempriey’s annual prayer ceremony and celebration of Spring. This takes place in the Prema Drala Ashram gardens each Spring, when the gardens are in peak bloom (always falling between Easter and Mother’s Day in Southern California). Louix and His team spend weeks designing and planting many new annual and perennial flowers, the completion of which is always made to coincide with the peak bloom of all the existing plants.

During the prayer ceremony, Louix invokes the Nature spirits, many celestial beings, and God’s blessing upon all our new endeavors for this year, honoring the season and the energies of Spring, and creating a divine union and synergy with all of heaven and earth to empower and bring forth quantum growth, harmony, beauty, and success in all areas of our lives. Following the prayer ceremony is a bountiful brunch in the gardens, lovingly prepared by the residents of the ashram, and an afternoon of devotional singing and communing with one another. As part of His annual tradition, the Master takes camera in hand and personally photographs all the many flowers and plants which he spends much of His time caring for throughout the year—combining two of His favorite pastimes, gardening and photography.

On January 7th, 2009, Sundara Aravinda Ashram in Melbourne, Australia welcomed the arrival of their beloved Guru for His first visit in over a year. With an itinerary that spanned six weeks, this was the longest period of time that Louix has stayed in Australia (since His two-month visit in 1998). The majority of the events took place in Melbourne, the hub of His ministry in Australia. Guruji also visited His ashrams in Sydney (Sathya Sananda) and Hobart (Prana Shakti).

The itinerary included the following events:  Devotional Singing, Movie Nights, Pranayama, Disciple Training, Guided Meditations, Q&A Sessions, Private Audiences, Media Interviews, as well as Women’s and Men’s intensives. Guruji also took day outings, shared meals with, and gave personal discourses and guidance to His disciples and devotees. He spent extensive time with the children of the ashram community and personally tended the gardens of His ashrams—one of Guruji’s great joys!
 

Louix often entered profound states of samadhi, and many people were effortlessly transformed by the all-consuming love felt in His presence. It was spellbinding to watch people change from day to day, a process that began with His arrival at the airport and continued for the next six weeks.

The following is Kharananda’s account of Guruji’s arrival at Sundara Aravinda Ashram in Melbourne, Australia (click here to read the full version of her lila, entitled In His Presence).

"…When I first saw Him, I almost burst into tears. And when I opened my arms to be enveloped by His welcome embrace, I could feel my body begin to vibrate as the enormous volume of current that flows through Pranananda’s body connected with mine. And I began to weep at the sheer joy of being in His presence once again. Oh Happy Day!! It was heavenly and very humbling to once again be in the presence of such Holiness. Our first evening, planned as a devotional singing and welcome meal, was all that and more. The singing was beautiful… so much love and devotion filled the room as each song came to life. Sitting before Guruji, and singing to Him, allowed us all to settle, to centre ourselves, and to open up to His infinite love. A meal prepared by the community was served and thoroughly enjoyed in the garden. After the meal, Guruji wandered into the gathering area to find my beloved Howard, weeping on the floor out of gratitude for seeing his Guru again. Pranananda walked up to him and tenderly placed His foot upon his open hand, which opened his heart even further. I knelt down and touched Pranananda’s other foot and was instantly electrified by the current that came rushing through my body, sending me into ecstatic laughter and joy. As people could hear and feel what was transpiring in the room, they came and took part of the experience. It was not long before most people in the room were in some state of ecstasy, peace, and/or bliss. As we surrendered to this experience, the more the love and light of God poured in and through Guruji, into the room and into each of us. It was a truly miraculous welcoming, and, unbeknownst to us, heralding the theme for the entire visit…"

On this day, everyone is encouraged to spend time in Nature to help cleanse and uplift the body, mind, and spirit, and to help integrate the immense amount of shakti (Divine Light) that is available to us during this time.

In the evening, the community of Prema Drala Ashram will gather at a local beach to enjoy a family meal around a bonfire as the sun sets upon the Pacific Ocean’s horizon. Find out how Louix’s other ashrams and study groups are celebrating His birthday.

For those not located near an ashram or study group, there are many ways you can connect with and honor Louix on His birthday; for example:  preparing and eating a special meal with loved ones, followed by viewing or listening to one of His many guided meditations or discourses; sharing stories (lilas) about your experiences with Louix; or a quiet evening of prayer gazing into a photo of Louix.

Whatever you do to celebrate this special day, imbue it with all your love, devotion, and gratitude for the immense blessing of having Louix’s presence and guidance in your life!

At the end of February, Louix and a team from Prema Drala Ashram, including the film crew for the documentary A Great Awakening, traveled to New York City for a week-long series of events. After discovering and reading Louix’s discourses on the Internet, Dr. Blanca Greenberg, Ph.D. (founder of Spiritual Path Holistic Center on Staten Island) and Eileen Marino were inspired to invite Louix to their hometown to share His love and wisdom with others.

On February 28th, Louix gave an evening of darshan at CoSM, a breathtaking gallery of contemporary sacred art created by world-renowned artist Alex Grey, located in Chelsea, Manhattan (www.CoSM.org). Setting the energies for the evening ahead, Louix performed a ceremony as He walked through the mystical Chapel of Sacred Mirrors gallery, which houses an installation of twenty-one of the most intricately painted, life-size representations of the male and female human form, portraying both its physical and energetic systems. Afterwards, Louix, Ariel Ganesha, and Lisa Leslie (who helped produce the events) met with Alex Grey and his wife, Allyson, in their private studios.

The evening darshan began with a captivating Prayerformance by Thoth (www.skthoth.com), who was recently the subject of an Academy Award-winning documentary. The room was buzzing with otherworldly energy created by Thoth’s introduction, as Louix entered. For the next three hours, Louix, in a state of samadhi (Divine bliss), received and gave personal messages and blessings to over 80 people who came from all over New York, New Jersey, and Staten Island.

The next day, the group traveled to Staten Island and settled into historic Mt. Manresa, a Jesuit retreat center established in the 1920′s, which served as the home base for the next five days. On the evening of February 29th, Louix was interviewed, along with Dr. Greenberg, on the Staten Island cable television show Spiritual Exploration. Christine Schiavone, the show’s host, delivered a series of questions on the topic “These Changing Times,” and Louix’s profound and intricate responses had the show’s audience, including the host and camera crew, captivated and in awe. The hour-long interview was broadcast to over 100,000 people on three consecutive Fridays, beginning March 21st.

On March 1st, a One-Day Retreat was held at the Mt. Manresa Retreat Center. Students from the Spiritual Path Holistic Center, family and friends, and several attendees from the evening darshan event, including Christine Schiavone, came to experience more of Louix’s grace. The day began with kirtan performed by local musicians Damaru and Lisa Kroft, and was followed by a powerful grounding meditation guided by Louix. Throughout the question and answer period, Louix led the audience through a series of profound discourses on topics ranging from “veganism and holistic living” to “the meaning of desire.” All those who attended left totally transformed and inspired to share their experiences with others. The retreat was followed by a day of private audiences held at Dr. Blanca Greenberg’s Spiritual Path Holistic Center on Staten Island. Families, couples, and individuals from diverse walks of life came to seek Louix’s blessing and guidance on topics such as health, relationships, parenting, and manifesting abundance. The following is an account from one of Louix’s assistants:

During the trip, Louix took His team to some of New York’s famous landmarks including Ground Zero (the site of the 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in 2001), the Statue of Liberty, the Natural History Museum, and Greenwich Village. Louix performed alchemical prayer ceremonies at both the Statue of Liberty and Ground Zero.

Our deepest gratitude extends to all those who welcomed Louix to New York for this exquisite series of events, which were only made possible because of your outpouring of love, devotion, and selfless service.

Mid-December 2007 through early January 2008, Louix and His daughter Ariel Ganesha made their sojourn to Australia, staying at His ashram in Melbourne (Sundara Aravinda) and spending precious time with beloveds who came from all around the world to see them. For almost six weeks, a dedicated film crew along with some of His closest disciples from Prema Drala Ashram devoted their time and energy to capturing footage for the upcoming documentary, A Great Awakening. Highlights of their three-week visit included:

Public Darshan

On the evening of His birthday (December 17th), Louix gave a Public Darshan at Melba Hall, at the University of Melbourne. He received approximately 70 people, anointing each person’s third eye with an intoxicating blend of oils and, to some, delivering personal messages and/or Revelations. He also gifted each person a necklace as prasad (a food or an item that has been blessed by the Master). The love and devotion that filled the atmosphere was amplified by the beautiful sounds of Australian sacred music group Sacred Earth.

Residential Retreat

On the warm afternoon of December 29th, disciples, devotees, and seekers arrived at The Country Place at Kalorama, located in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges just outside of Melbourne, to participate in a four-day residential retreat. Overlit by Louix’s love and grace, the retreat enabled everyone to experience deeper communion with God and each other. From guided meditations to yoga, and devotional singing to holistic, vegan meals, each aspect of the retreat enabled us to assimilate the greatest amount of Light into our bodies.

One evening included an Australian aboriginal didgeridoo ceremony by Jeremy Donovan. This ancient practice invoked the healing power of sound to connect us to Mother Earth. On December 31st, we gathered in the meeting space for our morning session with Louix. With a high amount of shakti coursing through His body while in a profound state of samadhi, He received each person and anointed them, sending many into altered states of consciousness and speaking wondrous Revelations to others. The following is one staff member’s account of this unforgettable, five-hour experience:

During the final minutes of 2007, Louix proclaimed 2008 to be The Year of Rebirth. This will be a year, He explained, during which each person will have the opportunity to begin a brand-new life—if we are willing to take the necessary leaps of faith. He stated the importance of remembering that everything is forgivable and redeemable in God’s eyes, and He used the analogy of the proverbial “phoenix rising from the ashes” to represent this rebirth. He also revealed the sacred gemstone that holds the energies for this year to be the opal—also the stone of the Aquarian Age.

Many of those who attended these events recounted them as being some of the most (if not the most) powerful events of their lives. It was also very touching to witness and be part of the many meetings and reunions that took place within Louix’s global community.

We are most grateful for the precious time Louix spent with us, and can only look forward to all that The Year of Rebirth has in store.

On September 5th, the Public Darshan was held at Open Secret Bookstore in San Rafael. From the moment Louix entered the room, the Divine energies were palpable. On the heels of His opening meditation to cleanse the chakras, Louix spontaneously dispensed with the evening’s planned program—the Shakti visibly roaring through His body—and began anointing every person as they approached where He was seated, speaking Revelation to many. Tears flowed, some laughed ecstatically, and an awestruck stillness engulfed the room. Local kirtan group Mirabai and Friends complemented the Divine Play with their celestial chanting throughout the evening.

Two days later, 30 souls from three countries gathered at the Institute of Noetic Sciences amidst the sun-drenched, rolling countryside of Petaluma (just north of San Francisco) for the weekend retreat.

Louix began the retreat with a ceremony in which He invited us to silently surrender some aspect of ourselves that we wanted to let go of, and ask for something of the Divine that would help us fulfill our missions on Earth. He gifted each person a heart-shaped rose quartz crystal as prasad, which He silently imbued with a unique quality that would empower and bless us for the rest of our lives.

The next morning, kirtan group Jagadamba sang for hours while Louix traveled the room, delivering shaktipat to each person. Once He had everyone filled with Divine love, He tenderly guided us into the "courtship with The Beloved" by having us stare into another’s eyes to experience God loving us in and through them. Events of the day also included Louix’s giving in-depth counsel to several individuals, discourses on various topics, and His leading an outdoor Mayan sun salutation, teaching everyone how to harness the sun’s healing and revitalizing energy. After dinner, the evening concluded with another special treat: an otherworldly ceremony performed by Karma Moffett with his collection of antique Tibetan bowls, bells, longhorn, "tingshas" (small cymbals), and conch shells.

The blessings continued on the final day of the retreat. Louix led a meditation in which we radiated our gratefulness, becoming the vessels for God’s love to flow unto and throughout all of Creation. At the closing of the retreat, many shared their powerful and often miraculous experiences during the weekend. After three days of constant communion with God, we left Petaluma uplifted, inspired, and awestruck by the transformation that came from a love so pure and profound. How fitting and perfect it was that a documentary film was being made of this retreat and of Louix’s five days in the Bay Area, ensuring that the Darshan and love was captured for posterity and will now be shared with the world.
