Q: I need to put my own hurts and pains around my upbringing aside so that I allow room in my heart and in my consciousness for my children. I have projected all over my children, and have felt that I have been suffocating them out of my own fears and wounds. Yet, the other day, I simply made a decision to be loving in every moment. Can You give me any insights?

A: You have it backwards! It is by loving your children and serving them, caring for them, that you vicariously heal all the hurts, pains, and wounds from your own childhood. This is the antithesis of “pushing yourself aside” (i.e. repressing your pain); instead, you use your wounds and pain as the impetus and inspiration to be the best, most loving father these children could ever have wanted. It is in this way that you heal those wounds. When you repress your wounds and issues, you automatically amplify them and pass them on to your children.

The cure for projecting your negativity onto your children is not projecting on them, and it is as easy as that! Go buy yourself a punching bag, and you can hit (project on) that or go out for a jog whenever you feel the need or desire to vent your anger and frustration.

Choosing to be love is also remarkably easy, not to mention its being your natural state, as created in God’s image. It takes infinitely more effort and energy to be non-loving than to be loving—said effort also being the primary cause of most all aging and disease that afflicts one’s otherwise immortal body and soul.

Q: I have just met the most wonderful woman, and I would really appreciate if You could tell me if she is my twin flame.

A: As far as your question about this woman possibly being your twin flame, it is very clear that you have forgotten one of the fundamentals of My teachings:

	“God is your twin flame.”

You will never find completion outside of self. Your twin flame is not a person. It is your relationship with The Beloved. Everyone who comes asking Me, “Is this my twin flame?” is totally on the wrong track. You are setting yourself up for a very large upset if you continue in this pursuit of a “twin flame.”

What I will tell you, and what serves your soul’s highest and best interests, is to follow your heart. If you feel close to this woman, and your heart stirs when you are with her, then just allow the process to unfold naturally. Stay out of your head in trying to figure out the outcome. Remember this:

“You do not journey to a goal. The journey is the goal.”

Best of luck in your newly found love.

Q: Here is a photo that was taken recently at our wedding. Could You tell me what are all those circles appearing in the photo?

A: The strange phenomena all around you in your wedding photos are spirits which were captured on film. Whenever “spirit” is captured on film, it is commonly known as ectoplasm, living (or divine) energy which may or may not be holding—at least, visibly—a physical form as matter. This particular type of phenomenon appearing in your photo is known as an orb.

They are, essentially, beings; in your case, some of the many, many angels who not only walk with you on a daily basis, but who were/are in great celebration on this momentous day (who doesn’t like weddings and parties?). Orbs do not exclusively represent angels, nor were there only angels present at your wedding. Deceased family members, nature spirits, other astral beings, extraterrestrials, et. al. are around all of us all the time. Rest assured, the ones appearing in your photo are all very loving in nature, and very happy!

You can do an Internet search, under “orbs,” and see lots of photos of them. We have many pictures of orbs in our ashram photo archives. They are captured quite often on film here. There was one very auspicious thing about yours, however. I have never seen such intricate patterning, as is evidenced in your photo, within the large orb on the left. Very nice.

Q: Spiritual masters tend to come down hard on psychedelics. They say, “You can’t use them as a replacement for God,” or “they are a poor shortcut.” But so many spiritual masters in the West seem to have first come in contact with their calling through psychedelics. Can the average person really experience God by simply meditating for years, or do they need some kind of shamanic initiation, sickness, psychedelic, etc.?

A: There are ones who use psychedelics (and/or other drugs and habits) to numb their pain or to run from life, and there are others who use them in the most sacred ceremonies for personal healing or to experience higher states of consciousness. While the same psychedelic may have been used in both cases, they could not be further apart and cannot even be compared.

Intention is everything. A heart’s pure intention and focus upon God will guide and ultimately unite that one with God, regardless of the steps along the way. More importantly, as we evolve, new practices come to us and old ones fall away. It is best to avoid judging the choices of others and oneself, and rather stay focused on being true to (i.e. following) what you feel and know in your heart.

Yes, by all means the average person can experience God by meditating, as well as by calling out, focusing upon, or insisting upon having an experience of God—and it does not have to take years (though it can for some). Whatever you place your focus most upon, you create. That is simply Law. Ask and you shall receive. You do not necessarily “need” a shamanic initiation, sickness, or psychedelic to have that first experience or to “get the ball rolling,” so to speak, though in many cases there is some form of catalyst that creates the opening, the passion for God, and the momentum in the journey. But that is not really the point. The point is that we are all unique, every soul, just like every snowflake—there are no two alike. As such, our pathways to God are each and all unique. And we each attract and create exactly what our souls want, need, and choose as our vehicle to full God-realization. There is no right or wrong; there is only what is right for you. We each need to follow our heart’s guidance. God is not so much concerned how you come, only that you come.

Q: What of the spiritual traditions on the planet that have traditionally used Psychedelic entheogens? Peyote, Ayahuasca, Iboga, and Mushroom shamans, to name a few. Even the Bhagavad Gita mentions the use of the soma juice, which is frequently thought to have been the earliest psychedelic, perhaps the original ecstasy behind all Hindu cosmology. Surely we can’t discard these ancient practices. What do you make of them as true paths to God?

A: Yes, there is much validity in these ancient and sacred traditions. Over time, different cultures have developed different sacred practices and, with humanity’s increasing homogenization into a global culture, many of these practices are now widely known and available. And, indeed, whenever practiced sacredly and with pure intent, they can be very helpful healing and transformational tools. Altered and higher states of consciousness can be attained by using them, though they can also (and just as easily) be attained without them. Once again, it all comes back to intention. All sincere paths ultimately lead to God.

Try turning the tables. Suppose someone were to bring into an isolated tribal culture a sacred practice which brought about a profound spiritual experience. Naturally, many would opt for using it if they had new and favorable results from doing so… and many might happily augment if not replace their traditional practices with it—even if their culture had been using their own tribal practice for thousands of years—if the new practice brought them an even more positive and powerful experience. That is only common sense. It is not a “right and wrong” issue.

While most are focusing upon (or arguing over) the many “vehicles” to reach God, what is rarely discussed is the end result: the “experience” of God. There are truly so many different levels and types of spiritual or mystical experiences, just as there are many levels of Enlightenment (whereas most people think you just cross the threshold and “you are there; that’s it”). What is important to focus upon is what your goal is. What type of “experience of God” do you want? And how much? And for how long? And how permanent? The truth is that it just keeps getting better. You can never have enough God.

The most important axiom to know is that, as one’s consciousness continues to ascend, merging more and more with God’s own, there are fewer and fewer “external” vehicles and tools—of any culture, tradition, or type—needed to access and maintain that connection and/or experience. That is the long and short of it all.

Louix vividly recounts His experience of taking (the drug) Ecstasy during His Initiate training, and the wisdom He gained therefrom. (Running time: 6 min. 55 sec.)

Q: Many Masters (Ramakrishna, Ramana Maharshi, Meher Baba, Osho) all died with illness and/or pain. Why is that? And could You?

A: These beings you are describing live in the world of Illumination. They are free; in other words, they live outside the wheel of karma. In fact, their very existence transmutes and transcends karma.

The phenomenon you are describing is called “karmic sweeping.” It is the last great act of sainthood that a Master gifts to the planet. Living beyond the realm of Separation, a Master is not affected by the laws of the world or the forces of Nature—except by his/her own choosing. Knowing that he is not defined by the body or by any circumstance, the Master literally sucks up pain from people’s lives, from the collective consciousness, and from the planet itself, pulls it into his body, and transmutes it with him when he drops his form. This is also what happened in the case of Jesus, Saint Francis of Assisi, and so many others.

It is also important to point out that what you see as pain and what Masters experience are two completely different realities. Because their consciousnesses are merged with (i.e. the same as) God’s, their consciousness is simultaneously in bliss, (even) while experiencing agonizing pain. They are “in” the world, but not “of” it. Strangely, many think that they do not feel the pain because they are in bliss, yet a Master’s capacity to feel is exponentially beyond the average human being’s ability. Why they may not show it or speak it is because they are defined by their God-reality, not by their human experience.

Can it happen to Me? Yes, and it does. Every minute of My day, I am swallowing the poisons of this world and of everyone in it. Sometimes it is discernible by others; at other times, not. Could My earthly life end in severe debilitation? Yes, it could… if I so chose and/or if God makes this request of Me.

Q: Do You believe that people have to go through chaos and destruction, or much pain and suffering, before they can seek the path of Enlightenment?

A: People do not have to go through chaos and destruction, pain and suffering—before, during, or after seeking the path of Enlightenment, nor are they prerequisites for it. However, it just so happens that most everybody does. There have been very, very few exceptions to this, over the course of history. Look at it this way: Suppose you are a ball. The moment God drops that ball is the moment you enter Creation. Now, if a ball is falling, when does that ball begin its ascent? The answer is simple: when it hits the ground.

This explains the nature of human evolution on Earth. It is when you have hit rock bottom—as the inevitable result of all selfish pursuits for sense gratification (which people seek to numb the pain of feeling separate from God) and for material goals and gains (false gods), at some point in a given lifetime (and it is not this lifetime for everyone)—that the ball begins its ascent. And in this third-dimensional world of polarity, of duality, that does entail much chaos, destruction, pain, and suffering because all pain and suffering is caused by resistance to God’s will.

Q: How do I have a good relationship with my Master? Inwardly I am often rebelling at the feeling that my free will is being usurped. In fact, I no longer feel I have a free will, or that such a thing as “free will” even exists. I am surrendering more and more, day by day, but I wonder: Must my surrender be forced? And if my surrender is forced, can it still be called “surrender?”

A: How you can have a good relationship with your Master is to fall head over heels in love with, and in gratitude for, this being. It is to realize that what you now have is the single, greatest gift bestowed upon any human being on Planet Earth—to walk with a living Master. This is the greatest, and only, vehicle necessary for the liberation of the soul. Few have ever attained Enlightenment without the aid of a Guru. There is only one way out of the labyrinth of Separation and that is with the help of one who lives outside of that labyrinth, in the land of Illumination and Freedom. No one inside the labyrinth can get you out, no matter how rich, famous, or smart that one is or professes to be. How to have a good relationship with this one is to move into a level of such deep appreciation for the gifts you are being given and to see this one as your victory, as your key to the kingdom of heaven. Respect and listen to this one.

As far as your feelings over your free will being usurped, know that the last and greatest gift of Creation is free will. It is never usurped. Yours was a statement spoken by a victim. In order for anyone to take you over (as you say) or to force your surrender, you would have to be a victim. And since there are no victims, that is anything but the case. The Master’s will is attuned to God’s will. Your will—the human, separate will—is guided and directed by the overwhelming and all-consuming desire to gratify the senses, to continue numbing yourself so you will not feel separate from God. No true Master would, or even has the power to, override your free will. In God’s infinite love and patience, God waits. The well does not travel on wheels to those who are thirsty.

Surrender cannot be forced, nor is it an action. You do not “do” surrender. Surrender is a state of consciousness that you attain by way of purifying yourself, by letting go of, and moving beyond, your inauthenticities, of all that no longer serves you… all of which your Master is well aware (infinitely more aware than you could ever be). Be grateful and listen to this one. Consider yourself both blessed and a very, very hungry and mature soul, that you were even able to magnetize this blessing to yourself. It says more about you than it does about your Master. Where you place God in your life is where God shows up in your life. Evidently, your hunger and desire for God is enormous, for very few people (in proportion to the number of people on the planet) walk with Masters. Furthermore, since whatever you place your focus on, you become, it is by walking with mastery that you will become mastery.

Q: What does it mean to be enlightened?

A: An enlightened being has more than fifty percent of his or her consciousness as being love-based. One who is not enlightened has more than fifty percent of his or her consciousness that is still fear-based. A consciousness that is mostly fear-based is ruled by a force, a gravity, that holds you in fear. You may have moments of bliss, moments of ecstasy, moments of rapture, Epiphanies and Revelations—when you have experiences of profound love and ecstasy. But, because most of your consciousness is still fear-based, that “gravity” eventually will pull you back into a life that is ruled by fear.

If you were illumined, the exact opposite would be true. Because most of your consciousness would be love-based, there would be a gravity that would hold you in a love consciousness. In this scenario, you would still have moments—because you are in a human body, living in the world, and interacting with people—when anger, fear, or sadness could come up. But, eventually, the gravity of pure love would pull you back into a loving space without your having to really do much, because your consciousness is mostly love-based. And that is one aspect of Enlightenment, as well as the differentiation between one who is enlightened and one who is unenlightened.

Q: Are you afraid of anything? What has been the most difficult teaching you have received in this lifetime?

A: I spend most of My time focusing on the myriad ways I can become more and more loving. As I ponder your question, though, musing about the greatest human fears—death (My own or that of a loved one), being alone, being abandoned, being physically harmed, contracting disease… none come to mind. Many of the things I used to fear, I still would rather not happen, though in My heart I know I would accept them (and have) if God and My soul needed Me to have these experiences. Nonetheless, I have had certain reflexive responses to stimuli, which, in the moment of occurrence, displayed elements of fear, and these indicated where I have still needed to grow in detachment and surrender. I will continue to welcome those opportunities if and when they come.

The most difficult teaching to master in life (as it was for My life, as well) is non-attachment—as it is, likewise, the source of one’s greatest inner peace. Being the loving observer; having an experience without becoming defined by it; allowing the ebb and flow of life, as does sand on a beach… these are the highest achievements, and the most difficult to achieve. The invitations to become attached are always there: seeing a “tragic” event in someone’s future (much less My own!) and having to watch it arrive and happen, while staying in a wholly loving and detached consciousness (like when I recently saw My own car accident two minutes before it happened; or when, during My training by the Masters back in the 90s, I watched My own death only minutes before it happened, and then had to allow and experience it; or knowing, in advance, the date and circumstances surrounding the passing of a loved one). I was actually quite surprised at seeing how non-attached I was in these situations.

My greatest challenge in the area of non-attachment has been in gifting people the answers to their questions, solutions to their problems, cures to what ails them physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually—at their request!—and then watching them walk away, not use or apply it, and continue to needlessly suffer. There have been moments when I still have felt a pang in My heart in just such a circumstance, though I know that part of that, for Me, also stems from the compassion I have for all living beings. Relieving the suffering in this world drives Me as much as does sharing My joyful experience of God with this world.

A: Most people believe that “karma” is “bad things that happen to you because of bad things you have done in this or a past life.” That is incorrect. The Law of Karma is the Law of Balance. The whole Cosmos was constructed and is governed by the Laws of Cause and Effect. And karma is what maintains eternal balance throughout all of Creation. As you sow, so shall you reap. This applies to the sowing of loving, as well as non-loving, seeds. The Universe functions like a giant boomerang, which both amplifies and then returns to you whatever you send into it. Thus, there is nothing to fear about karma, nor can you “break from the grip” of karma, for there is no grip; there is simply “cause and effect.” It is by mastering these principles that ones can attain peace, harmony, and mastery in their lives.

While it is possible to avoid or escape an entire incarnation,
it is impossible to escape a single lesson your soul needs you to learn.

As far as trying to break the patterns, or repeating the same mistakes, it is helpful to understand that each circumstance will remain in your life until it has finished serving all the many functions for which your own soul wanted, needed, chose, and created it to serve. And each time it (the circumstance, the pattern) returns and is ignored, avoided, or otherwise left unattended and/or in a state of incompletion, your soul, in concert with the Universe, will send it to you again… except that the new circumstance will arrive “bigger” and “louder,” as your soul’s way of honoring you, recognizing that perhaps you didn’t notice it or weren’t able to hear the messages inherent in the (former) circumstance.

What is most liberating, inspiring, and empowering to know is this:

Everything that happens to you in life is solely for the purpose of your own God-realization.

How do you balance this kind of dualistic observation with staying centered in God?

A: What is dualistic is using one’s “free will” in opposition to God/love, and that creates pain and suffering—the very outward experience of dualistic thought, motive, and action. “Staying centered in God” means thinking, feeling, speaking, and acting as/with/for God, which means “in and from only Love.” Yes, indeed, the fact that it is becoming more and more painful for ones to continue living in dualistic opposition to God is most symbolic of the burgeoning new era in humanity’s consciousness. How wonderful. It is about time.

Q: Why do so many spiritual masters place an emphasis on celibacy? What is the way for people to practice healthy sexuality without going to the extreme of becoming celibate?

A: It is impossible (and would be foolish) for Me to speak for other spiritual masters, but I can speak for Myself. In all the years of My ministry, and of all the many thousands of people I have counseled, I have only suggested celibacy to three individuals—and, even at that, this was only for a set period of time. While I do not advocate celibacy as a permanent way of life, celibacy is a very powerful vehicle to attain the exalted state of Detachment. For the record, I do advocate abstaining from intercourse before marriage (which many confuse as being equal to celibacy, which it is not). There are many reasons for this, many blessings to be gained from it, while still leaving unlimited ways to express and share physical and sexual intimacy.

At the same time, I both honor and respect anyone’s choice to live a celibate lifestyle. It is not for everyone, however, and, in fact, can be very damaging (if not dangerous) when practiced without proper training or guidance. Anyone who (still experiences sexual desires, consciously or unconsciously and) chooses to practice celibacy would be wise to practice some form of pranayama (sacred breathing techniques) to move the life force energy (qi, chi, prana) up through the chakras. The very dearth of this training and practice by celibates is the sole cause of all the sexual molestation which is seen in some religions (the Catholic Church might make the headlines in the news, but this exists in other religions, too—and not just in the clergy). Some religions/churches mandate the suppression of this natural bodily function, but fail to offer training for an alternative means to move the energy. Because lava always finds the weak spot in the rock, any unhealthy type of suppression will find unhealthy expression elsewhere (in all arenas, not just the sexual one).

It is also important for Me to clarify, by the way, that sex does not necessarily move energy the way pranayama does, nor is it at all times the healthiest way to move energy for a given individual in a given moment. The breath is the most powerful tool we have, and it can be used not only to transcend sexual desires, but also to heal any disease, perform many miraculous feats, and to directly experience God. (There are also other sacred techniques—like Qi Gong, T’ai Chi, and some forms of yoga—which can move the life force energy in a way that can help ones to safely and comfortably live a celibate lifestyle.)

Practicing healthy sexuality begins with regarding your own body as a temple of God, the very tabernacle which houses your soul. It is important to place your primary focus on self-love and self-worth, and making it your highest priority to increase these divine aspects of your consciousness. The sharing of your body with other(s) needs to be held as a most sacred act, an expression of love (rather than of “need”). Sexuality stemming from need only creates more dependency and unfulfillment, for desire is the cause of all suffering.

What is most important in any relationship (including ones where there is no sexual expression: family, friends, co-workers, etc.) is to develop intimacy. Second only to the primordial fear of death is the human fear of intimacy. And, believe it or not, most people engage in sex to avoid intimacy, the same way people chatter and babble and gossip to avoid intimacy. In fact, over 80% of all human speech is wasted words, “filler” used by people who fear the intimacy which naturally occurs and presents itself every time two or more people come together and have the opportunity to express their love for one another.

Seek to see and experience God in every thing, in every encounter, and you will find a richness and tapestry in/of life that you never dreamed possible. Make the effort to become vulnerable. Your true power lies in your defenselessness. God seeks to engage with us in every moment. The Beloved waits at every corner, between every breath, before every sentence. What I teach—and why I walk this Earth—is to invite everyone into The Divine Romance. Herein lies Life’s greatest treasure, greatest experience, greatest achievement, and greatest reward.

Q: How can we purify ourselves?

A: There are four levels of creation for which every human being is responsible: thoughts, feelings, words, and deeds. You need to look at all four levels of creation and be totally honest with yourself—something very few people will do—about the amount, and the purity, of love that you invest into those four levels in every single moment of your day. There are many excuses people use to justify their own non-loving thoughts, feelings, words, and deeds. Ultimately, there needs to come a time when a person can stand in front of the mirror and be that honest. The heart always knows the truth.

There must come a time when accountability, honesty, and integrity are restored. Only you can do that for yourself. To purify the self means to make a conscious choice and a mature, responsible commitment to change any part of your non-loving creations, on any of the four levels, into loving ones. To do this takes tremendous amounts of discipline, courage, tenacity, and perseverance.

The moment the pain of inauthenticity
surpasses the comfort of inauthenticity,
change happens.

Once a shift is made into that mantle of consciousness, change is imminent and victory is guaranteed! It is a very simple formula. The rules are not difficult. You will only create difficulty in following them if you are more comfort-oriented than growth-oriented.

The pursuit of comfort and the pursuit of growth
are diametrically opposed and mutually exclusive.

A: There are two things most important to teach a child. The first is to love everyone all the time, no matter what they say or do, because everyone is God and because only love is real. To do that, you would also have to teach them about patience, compassion, and forgiveness. The second (of equal importance) is to teach children—right from the start—how to talk to God, that they can, and that He/She will talk back to them. This might include teaching them how to connect to their angels, master teachers, and spirit guides, as well.

Q: Can you please give me a simple, yet powerful, exercise to help me ground myself?

A: Begin by standing barefoot upon the earth, with your feet placed shoulder width apart. Grab the earth with your toes and feel your body anchor into the ground. Keep your body centered and stable, spine straight, hands at your sides, shoulders back and relaxed. Now, inhale into the abdomen without lifting the shoulders and allow roots to grow from the soles of your feet and shoot right down into the earth. Feel the roots grab the earth the same way that do the roots of trees, to keep them standing strong and tall. Start drawing your breath through these roots. See it pass from the root hairs into the bigger roots and, then, into your feet. Feel it coming up your legs and spreading throughout your body. Feel the earth’s nutrients coming to you from the soil. Feel the moisture. Feel the chi (life-force energy).

Now, envision a lotus blossom sitting upon the crown of your head and allow it to open as the light of the Great Central Sun is sending prana (divine breath) right down into the center of that lotus blossom. In this way, you are becoming energized—and grounded—as you drink from the roots as well as from the sun.

A very powerful way to begin each day is to spend a few minutes on the earth doing this sacred, pranic breathing exercise. Many who adopt this as a daily practice have been able to very easily wean themselves off of caffeine. Others have discovered that waking up is no longer a sluggish, tedious, and tiresome process, but a vigorous, scintillating, and effervescent way to begin each new day.

Once you have grounded yourself and charged your battery, what a perfect time to spend a few minutes expressing gratefulness to God for all that you have in life and for breathing you into another day on this paradisian planet. Gratefulness is the highest form of prayer. I recommend that you begin and end each day in a supplication of gratitude to God. It will assist you—like no other tool—in maintaining Divine focus, perspective, and priorities.

Q: I just watched a DVD called Indigo Child, and it described lots of things that happen to me. Am I an Indigo child?

A: Although I prefer not to use this word as a means of describing the many special beings who have been incarnating in recent years to help Earth’s transition into the Aquarian Age (because of the excessive hype and misinformation on the topic, and because of the egotistical attachment which often develops), you indeed are one of them. Earth is just now leaving the Age of Darkness and entering the Age of Enlightenment, a period of tremendous Light and Love, one that will span thousands of years. I prefer to teach people that all God’s children are equal and special, and, within that truth, there are certain ones who have come with an entirely new brain configuration, DNA structure, and who were born with an understanding of God’s higher principles and plan for this world. They are the “bridge race” for mankind. They are the ones who are coming to help humanity make this transition. In a century or two, most everyone will be born and be living like this, and so many of the evils you see now will no longer exist. Many of this bridge race also have and/or develop what people know as supernatural gifts, when, in truth, they are all very natural gifts that God has given to all of us. The only problem is that few people have ever developed them, because most people live in fear—of God, and of pretty-much everything else, and because few people ever choose to get “proper” spiritual training by qualified individuals. Thus, these natural abilities have come to be called “supernatural.”

Many of these “Indigo” children have these abilities spontaneously awaken within themselves, without any form of formal training. Eventually, you will see more and more people born with and/or developing these gifts as their own Divine birthright. How wonderful. Your abilities to commune with angels, and to hear/see/feel/know about things in the future, are just some of the many gifts and talents that God gave you. I am glad that the sadness and fear in the world has not crushed that part of you. Most children shut down by the age of 7, and here you are, going strong at age 13. That makes My heart sing.

You have My word that I will always encourage you to pursue the truth, to trust your heart, and to know who you are—as God created you. In Me, you have found an eternal friend, and your greatest admirer and supporter!

The dream, God’s dream, is very much alive, My beloved. Never forget that, no matter what anyone tries to tell you! In your lifetime, you will see so many miracles, the likes of which Planet Earth has never seen since humanity first walked on this planet. You will also see many more of the darkest moments in Earth’s history. (That part is not God’s doing. It is humans who insist on suffering, by not trusting and obeying God. God wants nobody to suffer.)

Just remember to have compassion for the pain and suffering, and to let it inspire you to become all that you can be for God—as much as the miraculous around you inspires you. That’s what I do. That’s what keeps Me going. While so many watch what is happening in the world and become depressed, I watch it and become stronger, more inspired to love and serve God and My brothers and sisters, more passionate and committed to become the greatest love this world has ever seen! If I can do it, so can you… so can anyone and everyone.

So there you have it, My friend. I hope to see you when I come to Australia in December.

I am forever in your heart, with you, guiding you…

Pranananda

Q: I have my focus on serving other people more than myself, but I have been feeling depleted. How do I continue to serve others selflessly while taking my own needs into consideration?

A: You are supposed to be focused on being selfless and serving others—that is noble and humble—but it cannot be at the expense of your existence. There are two primary causes of feeling depleted as a result of serving others. One is that individuals are not sourcing themselves; the other is because of serving with impure motives.

Your body is what houses your soul. If you let that go to ruin, then everybody loses. You lose, because you will expire. God loses, because then God does not have you as an instrument, a vessel, and a messenger of His love. And all the people whom you have been serving so selflessly and humbly will lose, because there will be no you to serve them. It is a question of balance. You have to drink from the wellspring and source yourself so that you can serve others. The same principle is used for emergency procedures on airplanes: secure your oxygen mask before securing them on your children. A dead parent is less able to help a child than a breathing parent, especially a child who is not able to help himself.

You have to source yourself in order to source others.

There is a second reason why some people feel depleted as a result of serving others. You have to honestly examine whether or not your motives for serving are truly selfless. If you are serving begrudgingly, without joy, with an expectation of something in return (reciprocity, a favor, money, recognition…), and/or while (silently) wishing you were doing something else, you would most definitely feel depleted.

The joy of serving is the reward for serving.

Q: I am a healer and I do not know if I am supposed to charge my clients or work for free. Many have said that healers are not supposed to charge for their services. Can you please help me with this?

A: There are two main points to consider. First, you need to look in your heart and see what is it that God is asking of you, rather than what you perceive as the "spiritually wise" thing to do. Your mind has posed the question in terms of what is right and wrong. What is of greater value—and truth—is to ascertain what is right for you, since there are no such things as "right" and "wrong" (generalizations are deadly).

Second, you, like so many others, have bought into one of the world’s great hypocrisies and distortions by believing, "You should not charge for your healing services because that is ‘God’s’ work." My beloved, there is no such thing as "spiritual" work. Everything is God’s work because everything is God. If healers should not charge, then neither should lawyers, landscapers, shirt makers, architects, painters, surgeons, hotels… While we are at it, let us just have nobody pay anyone for anything!

When I lay the truth before you, it is very easy to see humanity’s delusions. The monetary system exists in this world for many reasons. Furthermore, money happens to be an inert substance, which means that, as a medium of exchange, it has absolutely no qualities or properties of its own. It takes on the energies and values which human consciousness places upon it: love, greed, gratitude, generosity, abundance, scarcity, hoarding, etc.

Now it is also true that God occasionally asks certain individuals (in many different fields of endeavor) to serve without charging a set fee. There are others whom God asks to work by donation, or to not charge at all. God’s reasons for asking this of one of His children is not based on the fact that God views one form of service as "holy" while judging the services rendered by the rest of His children as petty and unholy. The reasons God asks this of an individual are specific to the life, lessons, and learning of that individual. And the reasons God may, or may not, be asking you to charge for your services may be different than the reasons why God would ask this of another.

Follow your heart. I bless you in all that you do in the name of Love.
