A:  As for your concern about “hearing” incorrectly, I would advise that you do not fall into that trap. Do not be concerned with that right now. There are distortions/patterns in all human consciousness which a true Master is very adept at identifying and fixing for and with you. It is important that you are not too hard on yourself. You brought up a very good and important point about this business of questioning/following your own inner guidance. What I will tell you may sound contradictory (though it really is anything but), unless you truly understand the nature of the Guru):

You should always follow your gut/instinct/intuition/listening—always… except (and this is the only exception) when that “listening” conflicts with what your Guru is telling you. In those cases, it is wise to defer to the Guru. The reason is that the Guru’s mind is merged in God, it has been purified, healed, and is trustworthy, whereas the human mind is not. The human ego mind is cunning, devious, and often disguises its voice as the voice of the soul/God—this is its greatest talent. The human mind is run by a combination of fear and desire, whereas the Master’s mind is not. The Guru will help perfect and purify your mind. It is his/her job. The Guru is a set of training wheels for your own divinity. Furthermore, remember that you were the one who went searching for a Master to help exalt and uplift you out of the quagmire of Separation (he did not go looking for you).

Always trust in the God perfection of all that the Master says and does, even when what you are trusting appear to be imperfections in the Master.

The Guru has what you want. What lies beneath your seeming conflict is really your fear of losing control of your life, as well as your issues of trust and faith. It is not about who is right and who is wrong. That is the ego talking again. The Guru is your best friend, your most ardent fan and supporter, and is more devoted to you than anyone you will ever know… even more than your parents, spouse, children—anyone. The Guru lives to serve and uplift you. Remembering this inalienable truth, in addition to remembering that the Master is equipped to handle anything you bring before him, will remove any lingering doubts or resistance to simply following and obeying his loving and divine guidance… all of which is designed solely to liberate you, to uplift you, and to help you attain mastery over all earthly dominion.

A:  By not focusing on the siddhis! Focus on self-purification, selfless service, and deepening surrender to God. The siddhis will awaken naturally if you follow this course of action. It is the ego that wants the siddhis. In and of themselves, they are nothing-worthless. I am more concerned over your ego's infatuation with and desire for them. Many a chela is destroyed by forcing these powers to awaken and/or learning them by lesser means when the consciousness was not ready or pure enough to wield them.

This book will summarily dispel those myths and misinterpretations, but more so gift the reader an unparalleled insight into the magic, the power, and the Supreme blessing that this marriage of souls offers the sincere seeker. While the author does include a few of his own “cultural” practices/beliefs (which are actually more endemic to life in India than they are to the nature of Gurus), which therefore act as filters or distortions, they are very self-evident to the astute reader and do not taint or diminish the sheer grandeur and depth of this treatise.

Muktananda tells it like it is, and leaves no question of doubt that his own ascent into the fully God-merged state of consciousness was the direct result—and benediction—of his Guru.  I wholeheartedly place this book on the “Must Read” list for everyone who has been in search of the fastest and most direct path into the heart of God and Self.

Thank you for having me over and accepting me as your disciple. I know you are liberating me, and I have no words good enough to explain all that I am feeling. I beg you to give me the strength to walk on the path led by you.

Even before I was contacted by your disciples, I had already accepted you as my Guru. It just happened by reading your most Beautiful poems, articles and some chapters from your book. You reminded me again of my childhood dream to fall in love madly with God. I always used to want to be like all those lucky souls who could live in this world and yet be deeply, deeply in love with their Beloved God that they could remember him and sing about him with every breath they took. I also never thought that was/is actually possible for me to be like them, that selfless. But it was something to aspire to.

This dream was long forgotten in my race for what I thought the way my life should be moving. I got too busy controlling, planning, hating, crying and finally ending up completely closing up my heart so much that it has been hard to feel any joy or look forward to waking up each morning. This has gone on for almost 8 years now, maybe more. And then the miracle happened:  All my longing and sincere questing did finally lead me to you.

The moment I read your articles I knew that I was very attracted to your writing and wanted to learn more and more and more. The biggest gift you gave me was reminding of my childhood ardent desire to lose myself in loving Krishna/God. In the last 12 years, I have come to love Jesus also deeply. It would be wonderful if I could follow Buddha's path too. So I had started jumping from one boat to another and then another and I was totally exhausted, and yet, could not give up. I thought that my search must be for my Twin Flame—and so pursued different psychics, books, channelers, astrologers, etc. Finally destiny/God/You took pity on me and lead me to Vipassana meditation, my friend Margaretta, Neale Donald Walsh' CWG and other books; to glimpse 4 Masters in less than 6-week period. I saw the Dalai Lama, Ammachi, Ching Hai and Yourself. I am glad it came in that order.

When You asked us yesterday to give example of our faith, I was reminded of a story about Krishna, I wanted to share with You. Krishna had 2 wives—Rukmini and Satyabhama. Satyabhama was always insecure thinking that Krishna probably loved Rukmini more. Maybe to teach a lesson on love and faith (I am not sure of exact reasons) Krishna announces that he can be bought by the person who can match Krishna's weight with the weight of whatever commodity the buyer intends to buy Krishna with. Seizing this opportunity, Satyabhama, who wants so much to have Krishna for herself, asks Him to sit on one end of the weighing scale while she heaps all the gold in the palace on the other end of the scale trying to balance the scale. No amount of gold or other things could balance the scale and Satyabhama is in despair. Then comes Rukmini, who is shocked at what she is seeing. Satyabhama asks Rukmini to give a try herself. Rukmini then asks the side of the scale containing all the gold and heavy objects to be emptied out. She just places one tiny Tulsi/Basil leaf with all her faith and love and the scale immediately balances!

On the morning of Easter Sunday, after 85 years of blessing this world—and all of Creation—with His immortal presence, made manifest here on Earth, history came full circle as our beloved Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba drew His last breath and entered mahasamadhi. How blessed is all of humanity that God chose to take this human form and leave such a miracle-filled legacy and example for all to witness and one day emulate.

In the wake of His departure, I have seen world headlines announce His passing. And while they did make mention of just some of His Greatness, some of the fathomless good He has done for this world, and while the press did—in one short day—increase Swami’s exposure from tens of millions to perhaps a few billion people, it also saddened Me that all the major media outlets had to include, if not end, their “coverage” of His passing with taints and scandals. Granted, the fear-based words of Swami’s naysayers cannot ever touch or mar His Greatness, nor change the verity of His Divine and immortal walk on Earth. But, seeing this sacrilege has inspired Me to set the record straight, and to tell the world exactly Who He was, in His Divine Effulgence. I not only want to do this for Him, part of Me feels I owe this to Him, if, for no other reason, than for all He has done for Me. I, like so many others, would not be Who or where I am if not for the grace of this Avatar.

Simply put, Sathya Sai Baba was and is an Avatar, an incarnation of God on Earth. Contrary to what most of His followers ignorantly claim and believe, He is not the only Avatar on the planet at this time. Sadly, many Christians have this same belief about Jesus. The fact is that God has taken human form on several occasions, and simultaneously, in answer to humanity’s call and cry for help. Both Sai Baba and Jesus themselves knew this (as do all Avatars), and neither ever spoke that they were the only ones.

During His terrestrial sojourn, Sathya Sai Baba embodied the role of the Cosmic Christ for all of humanity. Unique to His Holiness is also the fact that, during His earthly life, He held the highest Light quotient of any human being on the planet. His life and mission were multifaceted and in many ways shall forever remain beyond “human” comprehension. One aspect, though, was clear:  His primary objective was to build faith in a forlorn and despairing world that had long forgotten its connection to Source, to its own Creator. This is why Swami lavished the world and all His devotees with such a jaw-dropping display of the miraculous. It was never to impress. It was to build faith—beyond any reasonable doubt. It was to let all God’s children know that God is real and is here. So many (including many of His followers) lost sight of this, Swami’s greatest gift, instead getting caught up in the pursuit of material gain and attachment, wanting Him to manifest (in Swami’s own words) “trinkets and trash,” rather than take from Him THE greatest gift He could offer:  union with God. Nonetheless, He gave and gave, fulfilling all wishes, all requests, happy only that His children came to Him, reveling in their company, regardless of all motives. Like a true parent, He wanted only for the happiness of His children, and He was willing to do anything to see to it.

As for those who will choose to miss out on Who was in our midst for these past eight decades, I ask of all who do know the Truth of Sai Baba—as your last gift to Him—to offer your understanding, compassion, and forgiveness to these misguided ones. Love them as Swami always did. Know that Pure Love can never be harmed. It can only be embellished.

The world is much, much brighter because of You, dear Swami. What You have given and done for this world and for all of humanity can never be fully counted or measured, not to mention all that You have done in the unseen realms, the tally of which makes Infinity pale in comparison.

Let us all pranam together as we praise Your Holy Name, kiss Your Lotus Feet, and celebrate Your life and message. Your immortal presence shall forever light the hearts of all God’s children in their journey into Oneness.

A:  You are fighting to hold onto the things you “think” you like. I use the word “think” because you do not know who you are; therefore, you cannot possibly know what you like. You can only have conjecture based on illusion, and that is very far from Truth or Reality. Focus on getting to know who you Are, and in that journey you will find the joy in discovering what you really like.

The likes and desires that people develop in life are for those things which will most effectively numb themselves from the pain of feeling separate from God. The more you grow to love yourself, the fewer things you will need to do and to have in the material world to make you feel good about your life.

As you become filled with more and more love,
your exterior needs, wants, and desires dissipate,
because love is what feeds you,
love is what fulfills you,
love is what nourishes you,
and love is what brings you joy.

I AM the Beloved you long to unite with.
Take your focus and place it upon Me.

See Me in the eyes of a child.

When you shake the hand of a stranger,
know that it is really My hand you are shaking.

You tell Me you feel lonely and alone.
Truth be known, you have never been more with Me

is the pain you are experiencing.

And, as I assist you by taking away everything in your life,
so that all you have left is Me,
the pain of that realization is taking hold of you.

This process of Divine cause and effect is, likewise, unavoidable. Many people, quite simply, do not like this. They want to luxuriate upon receiving the blessing of so great a Love, but they loathe and despise having to become accountable to that Love. There is an age-old adage, “Much will be given, and much will be demanded.” And while it is true that the Love of all loves knows only to give and give without asking in return, it is not the Giver who demands (as most ignorantly accuse), but the self-replicating, all-perfecting, ever-radiating nature—itself—of the love given, which demands loyalty, obedience, and servitude. Whenever there is resistance to this Universal Law of cause and effect, pain and suffering results. It is a virtual impossibility, however, to have one without the other. The very nature of God’s love is that it first reflects, and then perfects, all that is not of that Love.

It is the nature of God’s love to refine and reform. Thus, I ask that you feel blessed, and that you acknowledge yourselves with pride for having called forth this opportunity for personal growth and expansion. Remember, it is the squeaking wheel that gets the grease. How could you NOT face growth as a result of such an extended exposure to the all-transforming power and presence of God’s love? Be in joy.

I understand, and have great compassion for, the fact that pain often accompanies growth. Consider the pain that many women experience during childbirth. Is there any more profound example of this dynamic in all the world? Look at the new, perfect creation of God that comes forth in spite of, and in many ways because of, all that some mothers endure. The journey to God-realization is, itself, a birthing process. The gestating fetus to which you are giving birth is the full, radiant divinity that has long lain dormant within yourself. It is also important to realize that pain is not a prerequisite for growth. Where there is surrender, there is no pain, regardless of circumstance. This applies to the birthing of an infant, as well as to the birthing of divine consciousness.

My focus is upon two things only: guiding you through the lessons you have brought to My feet, and gifting the world (in answer to its prayer and its cry) with My love and wisdom, the dearth of which has been the cause of much heartache, confusion, hopelessness, and suffering. That is what is real. The rest is all illusion.

I love you with all My heart, with all that I AM. Forever do you remain in My embrace, and forever is My blessing upon you.

May these words bring you joy, upliftment, and a renewed sense of hope and inner peace.

Sri Pranananda wants to show me his garden, and Zimmaron follows with the camera to take pictures.  I know this is very rare, to ever spend precious close time such as this with a Guru. I am humbled, and stay very “aware,”  for I know that (always with a Master) they teach by telepathy; so, I’m waiting for the Beloved as he starts showing me his breathtakingly beautiful flowers—the upside down ones of pink, hanging near the open doors of his Ashram home; the other blooms, all of which Sri Pranananda lovingly touches. He then carefully removes one of the hanging pink blossoms. Then we walk down the pathway, and he bends down to pluck another lovely purple flower, one which is of equal magnificence, together with a red blossom. Then with his fingers, he delicately opens the petals of the flowers, and shows me how the Creator has designed each flower differently:  some petals with red and white streaks, some a darker red, some with magical streaks of white—all God’s arrangement of colors.  I pick up a brown and golden autumn leaf and a feather on the ground. The feather represents an angel close by. “We are walking on holy ground.” 

Then we approach the end of the garden, where brilliant hues of flowers greet us, and I just know as we go by that all the trees, flowers, and bushes are bowing down in adoration. Sri Pranananda shows me all around the Beloved’s garden, to the bottom of it, and then retraces his steps back towards the house. Halfway, he stretches out his hand to pluck two flowers off their branches. The first one is a little white gardenia; and the other is a big red hibiscus. Sri Pranananda places the little gardenia inside the protective leaves of the big hibiscus, and then hands them to me. I gaze at the sheer beauty of them both, the bigger hibiscus protecting the gardenia, and it seems as if the hibiscus is holding the tiny flower in its arms. I feel it is the secret symbol of being embraced forever in the Guru’s heart. No words are exchanged between Sri Pranananda and myself but, telepathically, I understand and smile knowingly. Sri Pranananda then leads me to his orange tree and takes two of the oranges from the tree and carries them back to the house.  Zimmaron and I follow him. I am in a dream of shakti bliss and sheer delight. Sri Pranananda washes, peels, and cuts the one orange in slices.  He then offers me a piece of orange.
 
I was not quite prepared for this gesture.  For anybody else, they would have been delighted to be offered a piece of orange. But for me it was quite a different matter. I know it was a karmic test. I stare at the piece of orange lying on a plate in front of me. My mind flashed back to the near-death experience I had in a hospital. I felt myself leaving my body, and the doctor and nurses were very concerned. I had just had emergency surgery, and was trying to recover. I was not allowed to see friends or family and was told I wasn’t getting better. I remember praying to God to heal me, and the next day at breakfast the doctor recommended that I drink orange juice after the surgery to build up my strength. I did, but I had an allergic reaction to the juice, and after a few swallows, I couldn’t finish it. Years later, when I tried to drink orange juice, I could not, as the memory always returned to that incident. Now, as I face Sri Pranananda with the orange, all these memories flood back into my consciousness. I panic inside…. How am I going to get out of eating this orange? I haven’t eaten oranges since that hospital stay, and now I’m been asked to eat this fruit.

I don’t know how to get out of it, without appearing impolite.
 
Sri Pranananda is cutting the orange up, then he hands me a slice.  My heart is beating rapidly, I don’t want to look at the orange, I don’t want anything to do with it. Sri Pranananda is bringing up all my old ‘stuff,’ and he looks at me knowingly. Slowly, I pick the piece of orange up, look at it, and place it back down on the plate in front of me.
 
I know I must pass this hurdle. Do I trust the Guru or not? Slowly, painstakingly, for the second time, I pick up the orange. I put the piece in my mouth, and slowly (as if it is a foreign object I have to eat), slowly I chew it, all the time hoping Sri Pranananda doesn’t see my discomfort. I know one should never refuse prasad that has been blessed by the Guru…. Finally, after I have swallowed the piece of orange, I see that I am still breathing normally again. I look around, breathe a sigh of relief. I feel alright; I am safe. Only a Guru could have finally helped me overcome this karma.

I breathed a sigh of relief, and thought, “Does Sri Pranananda know how difficult it is to act normal and eat around him, because, in an Avatar’s presence, one can hardly breathe and talk, let alone eat, for fear of losing the Guru’s shakti.
 
Sri Pranananda talks and laughs with the two Australians who have spent the day taking care of his home and making sure his food is cooked and everything is in order. They are lovely and spiritually beautiful ladies in their 60’s, whom I’d met the night before and struck up an instant friendship. In the Ashram, devotees are drawn by the Guru’s love and share the wondrous communion of living together for one common purpose, to be closer to God.
 
Early meditation that morning in front of Sri Pranananda’s picture had all Ashramites present, and in the early morning light His presence was so keenly felt as we said our prayers of invocation and for world peace.
 
Back in Sri Pranananda’s home, I am struck by how beautiful everything is:  with Sathya Sai Baba’s photo adorning the wall; and in the living room two enormous purple crystals, almost five feet high, adorn the living room; and a picture of an exquisite landscape painted and gifted by an Australian devotee, who miraculously was cured in Sri Pranananda’s presence, stands shimmering on the wall. There is a photo of Mirabai, the South African Guru from my home country; and up the winding staircase, hanging on the wall, is a picture of Ammachi, the famous Indian Guru.

Sri Pranananda leads me back to the kitchen and says he has some photos to show me. He goes upstairs to his office and comes down with four of the most amazing photos I have ever seen, of himself with devotees:  one in a mountain setting, where a green emerald light appeared miraculously at his side, with the devotees looking on in awe, and the green pine trees swaying in the breeze; another is of a group of lovely devotees in Australia, with Sri Pranananda dressed in Tibetan robes; another is with two Australians being touched on the head by Sri Pranananda, where the whole of Sri Pranananda’s form appears as pure white light in front of these two devotees,  and all you see is this white light and not his physical form—truly a play of consciousness; then another snapshot with Sri Pranananda’s face appearing on the wall, in a mother’s home in Australia. I ask about this photo, and I am told the story of a young boy who, in distress, did not want to go to school that day. The mother, in despair, was praying to Sri Pranananda for help, and the Guru’s face suddenly appeared in an instant Polaroid photo which the distraught boy had just snapped of the wall. I was in awe looking at this photo of  Sri Pranananda silhouetted on the wall, bringing her comfort and reminding mother and son that yes, he was indeed close by, helping her with her son. I remember seeing a photo in which Sathya Sai Baba appeared in a cloud near an airplane in trouble, which Sai Baba rescued from going down. I look at these photos, so filled with shakti, as powerful reminders that indeed the Guru is always near us.
 
Sri Pranananda then addresses me, saying he has never done this before for a guest, but he would like to show me the rest of his home. With Zimmaron at my side, he takes me upstairs to his sacred quarters at the top of the house, which has one corner for Ariel, his nine-year-old daughter who looks so like him and who is a little Avatar herself. Near the sliding glass doors sits her little altar, filled with flowers, magical fairies, and the things that only children believe in. I look at the picture of the beautiful little Ariel, with a cherub’s face but eyes like her Dad’s, with the look of the Divine. Then Sri Pranananda shows me a picture of Ariel’s late brother (who also has Ariel’s innocence). Then the Guru shows me a photo of him and his son in Africa, where he had taken him on safari… they look so happy together. Afterwards, Sri Pranananda showed me the gorgeous picture of his wife, who lives in Hawaii with their children, and how beautiful she looked after their marriage. Sri Pranananda looks on with pride, then leads Zimmaron and I to look at the photos above his desk, of all the Saints and Masters who have played such an important part in his life. There are familiar faces, and as I peer at them I see the lineage that backs up Sri Pranananda, and the sacred journey he took with these Saints, with all the austerities, which made him what he is today. All the time, my heart chakra is opening and I am bowing in my heart to all these incarnations of the Divine, peering down from the wall. A book about the Sufi pathway lies on Sri Pranananda’s desk, as well as an angel ”thank you” card which I gave Sri Pranananda to thank him for my stay in his Ashram.
 
We listen to Pranananda tell stories of the Saints, and then I notice the painting of Jesus over his bed. It is the same one that hangs over my bed, which I purchased as a young woman. Bhagavan Sri Pranananda is sharing about his teachings, and I listen intently as we slowly go downstairs again, and I am drawn again to look at the photos he had been showing me. Then Sri Pranananda says I can have these photos, and puts them in an envelope and hands them to me.
 
There is one piece of orange left, as I am about to take my leave of the Ashram. Pranananda is encouraging me to eat it, and this time I gladly take him up on the offer.
 
The cat gets up and walks to the staircase, and I get up to pat it one more time, its white fur gleaming. I realize, as I check the time, that we have been over two and a half hours in the Guru’s home.
 
It’s time to say goodbye. Sri Pranananda hugs me and I hug him, and he gives me another orange to take, as well as the flowers he has picked, all having been lovingly placed in a box for me by one of the devotees. I marvel at God’s handwork in Sri Pranananda, as in the garden he’d shared his plans to revisit certain holy places, Saints, and shrines in India. As he spoke about this, with the sunlight on his face, he looked really Indian, like some of those great Saints, with that loving, peaceful look; but inside I felt, as he said goodbye to me, his face changed and took on the appearance of an Italian, and then a face like Jesus of Nazareth.  As I left the room, I felt surely I had been in the presence of a Divine Being and his angels. This time in my life, when I had cried out to God, “Are you hearing me?” he answered my prayer by allowing me to meet Sri Pranananda.
 
Zimmaron and I said our goodbyes to everyone around Sri Pranananda and headed for the car. Zimmaron is driving me, and carrying the flowers that Sri Pranananda picked from his garden (which he so lovingly packed for me, along with the two oranges, which are prasad). As we drive home I remember conversations that I had with Sri Pranananda’s devotees:  the importance of raw food diet for better health; to not drink coffee or alcohol, as it tears the aura, allowing demons, entities, and illness into the body. I remember the faces of Saints I saw etched in the floor when I looked down at the floor in Sri Pranananda’s home.

I am filled with shakti. I am no longer that person I was before meeting Sri Pranananda. He has given me a new life. As we drive to my home, we are quiet, Zimmaron and I, retaining the shakti of the Guru’s visit. I feel inside that I have experienced a portal of the Universe opening, and the Beloved showing himself, with all the compassion and love in the face of Sri Pranananda.

Our journey took us all over India, visiting the mahasamadhi shrines (tombs) of many of the Avatars who have been an instrumental part of My training and/or this ministry over the years. This trip was to not only pay My respects to these Great Ones who helped mould and shape My life, but to directly receive their darshan as well. It was so wonderful to be able to sit at their feet, in the ashrams and centers where they lived and served all the days of their lives.

Driving by car for much of this trip, we were fortunate to see much of the countryside and meet so many people. Needless to say, the pilgrimage far exceeded anything I could have imagined, and I am eternally grateful to every one of you who helped to create or support this trip.

As we are now in the final month of this Year of Adoration, I hope that many of you took full advantage of the Revelations and insights I shared last New Year’s Eve, ones that would help you create the most blissful, peaceful, and successful life possible. I pray that you made the time to deepen and re-create your relationship with God/the Divine and that you are now harvesting the blissful fruits of that investment in your Self.

This year, I have chosen to dedicate My birthday (Dec. 17th) to giving darshan in Los Angeles, continuing a tradition that I began a few years ago. 2010 Holiday Message

I recently returned from My 33-day pilgrimage to India, a trip that has changed My life in so many ways, and is sure to change this ministry as well. Our trip was a symphony of one miraculous, God-filled moment after another. So many surprises…. So many times God left His signature upon a magical moment. There is so much that happened, it could fill an entire book. We have put together a small slide show to share with you.

Our journey took us all over India, visiting the mahasamadhi shrines (tombs) of many of the Avatars who have been an instrumental part of My training and/or this ministry over the years. This trip was to not only pay My respects to these Great Ones who helped mould and shape My life, but to directly receive their darshan as well. It was so wonderful to be able to sit at their feet, in the ashrams and centers where they lived and served all the days of their lives.

Recent Events at Prema Drala Ashram

July 25th was Guru Purnima, the traditional Hindu day of revering and celebrating the Guru. On this holy day, the community at Prema Drala Ashram gathered to honor Louix with a traditional Indian-style ceremony. We began the event by singing devotional songs, and by placing around His neck a garland made of carnations.

We then performed an aarti ceremony, part of which included each disciple coming before Guruji and tenderly washing and anointing His feet. Once this beautiful act of devotion was complete, we presented Guruji with a pair of padukas (wooden sandals traditionally worn by holy beings), a special gift which had been acquired from India. During this ceremony we played a recording of disciple Shree Narasimhulu singing the 108 Names of Bhagavan Sri Pranananda (a project that he created and composed). Finally, Peter DeWitt sang “Song to The Beloved,” a song expressing one’s Divine Romance with The Beloved, which he recently composed for the occasion.

On August 21st, Guruji and Pranam led 30 people during an ecstatic evening of devotional singing at Prema Drala Ashram.
 

On August 25th, Louix and His team returned to Las Vegas to hold two events at Sun City McDonald Ranch in Henderson, NV. On August 25th, Guruji gave darshan to approximately 75 people while Pranam serenaded the room with devotional music. On August 28th, Louix gave a discourse on “The Art of Self-Inquiry." He also discussed various topics, including:  complacency, the collective awakening of the planet, surrender, and how children are our greatest teachers.

On September 11th, Louix, His daughter Ariel Ganesha, and the disciples gathered at Aliso Beach in Laguna Beach, California to celebrate Ganesha Chaturthi. Everyone worked together to sculpt a bust of Lord Ganesha out of wet, compact sand. We then held a ceremony for the deity by having each person come before the bust and adorn it with a special token (from Mother Nature) of their love and devotion. We sang several beautiful devotional songs to Lord Ganesha, to deepen our Divine attunement and to further invoke Ganesha's holy presence (which was quite palpable to all!). Finally, as the sun began to set, we carried the sculpture to the ocean where, just as in the traditional rituals held in India, the waters carry Ganesha back home.
 

On September 15th, Pranananda gave darshan at the Rose Temple in Venice, California. Pranam was joined by two members of the Australian kirtan band Sushumna, as they played an electrifying set of devotional music. Over 130 people received darshan, some of whom were passers-by who were encouraged to come in by the those leaving the event!

On September 23rd, Louix held his first event in Racine, Wisconsin (a city half-way between Milwaukee and Chicago) giving darshan to over 125 people—most of whom had never been in the presence of a spiritual Master. The event was held at the beautiful and historic DeKoven Center, a retreat center on the shores of Lake Michigan. Pranam was also invited and flown out from Southern California to play at this specific event. It was a touching scene to watch the children sit around Louix, gazing adoringly at Him for most of the evening.

On September 26th, approximately 40 people attended a One-Day Retreat with Louix, also held at the DeKoven Center. He started with a meditation about the fairies watching over each of us, which evolved into an exquisite ceremony that summoned, from within, each person's own fairy energy. Throughout the day, Guruji counseled each soul on many topics, that included:  children’s emotional bodies, tools to invoke gratitude into our lives, guidance for parents with autistic children, and many other topics.

On October 8th, Louix gave darshan at the Seaside Center for Spiritual Living in Encinitas, California—His debut event in a beautiful coastal town with a thriving spiritual community! About 100 people attended the event, which was a great success. Pranam played devotional music in the background, and the crowd joined in the singing, creating an exuberant atmosphere of joy and devotion.

On October 24th, six disciples arrived at the Ronald McDonald House in the City of Orange (in northern Orange County, California) to prune and care for their grove of Valencia orange trees. We removed a tremendous amount of dead wood from the trees, improving the trees' health and enriching next year’s harvest. The orchard, which is owned by the House, had already been irrigated, but no fruit harvesting or pruning had taken place until the Foundation's volunteers started these activities over the last two years.
 

Prema Drala Ashram Satsang

Prema Drala Ashram recently began holding monthly Satsangs (Study Groups). Open to everyone, these Satsangs offer a regular forum to explore Louix's teachings and learn the many practical tools He offers to accelerate one's spiritual development. These gatherings are intended as interactive forums, fostering personal growth and transformation, and making the many facets of conscious living relevant to our everyday lives, such as:

I shall be traveling with Kharananda Mayi, who is the Director of Sundara Aravinda Ashram in Melbourne, Australia and mentor of all three of My Australian ashrams. I will also be traveling with My first Indian disciple, Hanuman Ramesh, who will serve as our translator, guide, and as My personal assistant. Thanks to you both; may you receive infinitely more than you give, now and always.

The essence of this trip is and has always been a journey to the sites of many of India’s most revered Avatars, both embodied and via their mahasamadhi shrines/sites, where much will be given and received in our mutual exchange. I will also be paying visits to:  Mother Teresa’s world headquarters in Kolkata, the world’s largest Kali temple, sacred and mystical Mt. Arunachala in Tiruvannamalai, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, and the holy cities of Varanasi and Rishikesh. These constitute the anchor points of this trip, though I am certain that much, much more will happen along the way.

The second reason I am writing to you now, on the eve of My departure, is to thank every person who contributed to making this trip a reality. Whether you donated monies towards the trip, gave of your time, or simply have held this vision for Me, please know that I am grateful beyond words, and your gifts shall return to you, amplified and embellished one thousand-fold. This trip to India is one of the most caring, thoughtful, and beautiful gifts I have ever been given. May you who made it possible be the examples to others—by way of the blessings that shall shower upon you for sending Me to India—of the age-old adage and universal truth:  It is in giving that we receive.

So, from My heart to yours, once again I say, “Thank you, thank you, thank you.” I am so blessed; I am so grateful. My blessing is forever upon you and within you. When I return from this sacred adventure, I shall be sharing many of the amazing details, miracles, and lilas from My time in India. Your Holiness, please be informed that my job started from the 1st of September. It was one day after Ganesha Chaturthi, when Ganapathi celebrations are on in Mumbai. What a pleasant gift!

Despite the wondrous gift that Your Holiness has given me on this wonderful day, I must admit I have a primordial fear that these wonderful days may not last long. In other words, I have been destroying Your Vision for me in this particular job. I feel helpless, and I feel unable to stop this fear within me. Part of it comes from the fact that I may have a bad boss. Some time ago I had a very bad experience with a former boss during my internship with an automobile company. I had a tough experience with him then, and I feel the same might happen to me again on this job.

I also have this inability to see through people, and as such can be easily “taken for a ride” by people with ulterior motives. This has already started to happen to me on just the 7th day of my new job. A couple of people are trying to inflict damage on me. By the grace of God, I could see through two of these people today.

I feel something adverse is going to “happen” in this job. Also, I feel I might be rejected by people on this job. I am truly sorry, but I have been living in a fear-based reality since I have joined this job, and a couple of days before that.

Kindly help me. Is there anything that Your Holiness feels that I would need to know regarding this issue?

(Louix’s reply): 

In the interest of time, I will get straight to the point. First of all, you do not have a “bad” boss. You have the perfect boss, sent to you by Me, as was your new job sent to you in the perfection of My will. Of course you have the same problem as on your other job. You have not yet learned—or mastered—the lesson(s) they were both created to gift you. You are also forgetting to look at yourself. You are projecting your own issues onto other people. That is victim consciousness. There is nothing outside of self. The seven billion people on this planet represent the seven billion different aspects of you. There is only you.

Whether or not others are mean or dishonest is none of your business. That is between them and God. Your job is to discover why you drew these ones into your life. To show you what about yourself? To teach you what about yourself? To help you change what about yourself? Everything and everyone exists in your life solely for the purpose of your own God-realization.

It is also very helpful for you to remember that people perceive you only and exactly the way you perceive yourself. I will save you the searching time, just this once. You have drawn these “mean, pushy, and conniving” people into your life as a wonderful gift. They are inviting you, and forcing you, to rise to greater levels of self-dignity, self-esteem, and self-worth. What a golden opportunity. Congratulations. Bless them and, in your heart of hearts, thank them for giving you what your soul asked of them.

Should you decide to run away from this opportunity by quitting the job or by getting fired (which is the coward’s way of quitting), you will only draw to yourself more people like these ones; only, this time, they will be even “worse” (as you put it) than the previous ones. Every time you refuse the lesson your own soul has called forth, the universe simply sends it again—this time, bigger and louder. Whatever you resist, persists and intensifies.

Remember, above all, My dear brother:

While it is possible to avoid an entire incarnation,
you cannot escape a single life lesson.

Now that the light of wisdom has shone upon you, only something very wonderful is going to “happen” on this job:  You are going to discover parts of your inauthentic self and refine them, so that your own, true, sparkling divinity can radiate from within every cell of your being. Imagine that!!

After thirteen years of the tireless and selfless dedication of so many people, in holding and working towards fulfilling God's vision (first received in 1997), we are very excited to announce that the Louix Dor Dempriey Foundation has recently received its 501(c)(3) status as a non-profit, tax-exempt educational corporation. Expanding Our Ministry in the United States

In addition to receiving our non-profit status, we are also very excited about the myriad events the Foundation is now hosting in the Southwest and other parts of the U.S.A. Louix’s upcoming visit to Las Vegas this August will be His fifth series of events held there since July 2009. In 2010, the Foundation also began holding regular events in Los Angeles, the next one being on September 15th at the Rose Temple in Venice, CA, where Louix will be giving darshan (see our Upcoming Events schedule for more details). And, as always, we are increasingly having more events at our Mother Center, Prema Drala Ashram, in Laguna Hills (Orange County). In September, Guruji and a team of us from Prema Drala will be traveling to Racine, Wisconsin for one week of events and gatherings. Later in the fall, He will share His blessings with His beloveds in San Diego.

This year’s events will culminate with the New Year’s Eve Retreat, which will take place at The Lodge at Torrey Pines, a 5-diamond resort in the beautiful coastal town of La Jolla (in Southern California). This is the first time in twelve years that Louix will be holding His traditional New Year’s Eve Retreat in the United States. In response to numerous requests over the years, the Foundation has now added an extra day to this event, making this five-day retreat a priceless opportunity to experience even greater levels of love and life-changing transformation in the presence of the Master.

Those who know and understand some of the inner workings of spiritual Masters will be very excited to hear that this particular retreat will take place right after Louix’s return from a 5-week personal pilgrimage throughout India. Recent Events at Prema Drala Ashram

On April 4th (Easter Sunday) the family of Prema Drala Ashram, as well as disciples and devotees from abroad, gathered at the Sanctuary for Louix's annual ceremony and celebration of Spring, invoking the Nature spirits and God's blessing upon all our new endeavors for this year. This takes place in the Sanctuary garden each year during its first full bloom. Louix and His team spend weeks designing and planting many new annual and perennial flowers, the completion of which is always made to coincide with the peak bloom of all the perennial plants. This year's celebration of Spring coincided with the April 3rd (shared) birthdays of Ariel Ganesha and Peter DeWitt. A delicious lunch with a variety of organic vegan dishes was prepared, and everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather and surroundings. The children giggled as they went on an Easter egg hunt. After the meal, children and adults alike were captivated and delighted by a humorous magic show. Mother Earth put on her own show this day, delivering a powerful 7.2 earthquake while we all sat in the gardens together, rocking and rolling for almost a minute (a very long quake) and watching waves spontaneously form in the in-ground spa and leap over its walls. (The epicenter of this quake was very close to the Mother Center.) After a strawberry shortcake birthday cake, the joy-filled day was brought to a close by watching Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.

On April 10th, the ashram held an “Evening of Devotional Singing with Louix,” which was open to the public. With Guruji leading the chants with Pranam (the Foundation's devotional music group), the vibration continued to rise throughout the evening, and newly-written chants were introduced, including “Om Mani Padme Hum,” by bassist Bill Russell.

On May 8th, we held an "An Evening with Louix" at Prema Drala, wherein Guruji gave a riveting discourse on "Soul Initiation." Drawing on stories from His own spiritual training, He had the audience roaring with laughter as they absorbed His pearls of wisdom. He answered several questions, giving precious guidance to various members of the audience. The event went an hour longer than expected, yet all who attended wanted more! On June 12th, the Foundation held a public darshan at Prema Drala Ashram. The 25742 La Serra home overflowed with disciples, devotees, and guests who came in anticipation of being in the Master's presence. Guruji filled the room with His Divine Light, and offered a personal blessing to each person who came before Him.

On June 19th, Louix met with Srila Narayan Maharaj, a 91-year-old spiritual Master from India who was visiting his main spiritual centers in the United States, including the Rose Temple in Venice, California. The meeting took place in a private home, and Guruji and four disciples were honored with a private audience. After this auspicious meeting, Louix, Ariel, and the other disciples had the pleasure of visiting Tapasyogi Kalathi Adiyen Nandhi (commonly known as Nandhi) at his temple in Inglewood, in southwest Los Angeles. Both of these beloved Masters and dear friends presented gifts to one another. Nandhi also led a puja in honor of Ariel, and bestowed her with a special mantra.

On Father’s Day (June 20th), Louix and many Prema Drala disciples went on a camping trip at Blue Jay Flats, in the mountains above Lake Elsinore, California. Everyone enjoyed three days of bonding and spending time in nature on a fun-filled trip that included campfire sharings, lots of (Ariel's favorite) card game of "I Doubt It," and an hour-long hike to a beautiful waterfall, where they were enchanted by encounters with snakes, newts, beetles, tadpoles, and dragonfly nymphs. On the hike back to camp, Guruji (who at this point was leading), had the rare treat of having a fox run across the path directly in front of Him in broad daylight.

Las Vegas Events – April, May 2010

From April 8 – 12th, Markus Kasunich and Zimmaron Zsido traveled to Las Vegas to hold Satsangs on behalf of the Louix Dor Dempriey Foundation and to promote Louix's upcoming visit. On April 9th, they held a Satsang in which Markus led a guided meditation. Afterwards, Markus and Zimmaron shared intimate stories about their profound walk with their Guru, including being on worldwide pilgrimages; showed unreleased film footage of Louix; and held an open Q&A session. They also held a Satsang on April 12th which included a ceremony with Pancho, The New Generation Crystal Skull, before returning to Prema Drala. Both these events were promoted by the Awareness & Consciousness Group of Southern Nevada.

On May 19th, Louix gave darshan at the Wingate Hotel in Henderson, Nevada (just outside of Las Vegas). Guests continued to arrive throughout the evening, as 75 people received individual anointings of all different kinds from Louix. Pranam serenaded the room with devotional music as the bliss intensified and people experienced heightened states of love and joy.

On May 22nd, Louix held a One-Day Retreat at the same venue. He began the retreat by leading a guided meditation wherein everyone summoned their closest guardian angel, and reconnected with that Divine Being. Following this meditation, Louix partnered everyone and asked that they stare into each other's eyes, and see and feel their angelic presence. After a mid-day break, he answered many questions from the participants, giving them specific guidance on how to deal with many life circumstances. Having absorbed His love and precious wisdom, everyone left with a more profound experience of God and Self.

Louix's Debut in Los Angeles

On April 17th, 2010, Louix gave darshan at the Rose Temple in Venice, California—His highly anticipated debut event in the Los Angeles area! About 150 people attended the event, which was a great success! Pranam played devotional music in the background, and the crowd joined in the singing, creating an exuberant atmosphere of joy and devotion.

Prema Drala Ashram Satsang

The Difference Between Refined Salt and Unrefined Salt

Introduction

Salt is salt, right? Of course not. Just as there are many different brands of cars, there are many differences in various salt brands. This chapter will focus on the difference between refined and unrefined salt. Salt in its natural form is referred to as unrefined salt. Unrefined salt has not been altered by man. Therefore, it contains many different minerals and elements that are useful for the body.

For example, unrefined sea salt (e.g., Celtic Sea Salt) contains over 80 minerals and elements—all the natural elements necessary for life. This is contrasted with refined salt which contains two major items: sodium and chloride.
 

Refined Salt

How is salt refined? Most commercial refined salt has been harvested mechanically from various salt mines as brine. Brine is a highly concentrated solution of water and salt. Prior to mechanical evaporation, the brine is often treated with chemicals to remove minerals (which are sold for use in industry). The minerals are referred to as “impurities” in salt. These chemicals used to treat refined salt can include sulfuric acid or chlorine. Next, water is evaporated under high compression and heat which disrupts the molecular structure of salt. Finally, almost all of the moisture in the salt is removed in a fluidized-bed dryer.

All food-grade salt available in the U.S. must comply with the National Academy of Science’s Food Chemicals Codex Sodium Chloride Monograph (1996). Up to 2% of food-grade salt may contain anti-caking, free flowing, or conditioning agents. These agents may include sodium ferrocyanide, ammonium citrate, and aluminum silicate. None of these products have any positive effects in the body. Dextrose, also known as refined sugar, is used as a stabilizer so that iodide will stay in the salt. The final purity of food-grade salt is between 99.7-99.95% “pure”. Pure refers to the sodium and chloride content. The other “impurities”, including healthy minerals and elements, have been removed from refined salt.

Why is Salt Refined?

You may be asking yourself the above question. Salt is refined for four main reasons:

1. Refined salt, having all of its minerals removed (i.e., “purified”) is essentially a lifeless product. Being a lifeless product assures a long shelf life. In fact, refined salt can sit on the grocery shelf forever. A long shelf life is a valuable tool to maximize profits for food manufacturers.

2. Manufacturers believe that an all-white salt product will look cleaner to the consumer and, therefore, increase sales. Refined salt is bleached in order to obtain the white color.

3. If the salt is taken from a polluted area, the refining process will remove the toxins associated with the salt.

4. Iodine is added to refined salt to prevent goiter (swelling of the thyroid). However, as pointed out in my book, Iodine, Why You Need It , Why You Can’t Live Without It, there is insufficient iodine in salt to prevent thyroid illnesses or to provide for the body’s iodine needs.
 

Unrefined Salt

As contrasted with refined salt, unrefined salt contains much more than sodium and chloride. Unrefined salt contains all of the elements necessary for life. Celtic Sea Salt (Light Grey) contains 33% sodium, 50.9% chloride, 1.8% minerals and trace elements and 14.3 % moisture. Table 2 shows the major contents of unrefined Celtic Sea Salt. Unrefined salt does not contain appreciable amounts of iodide.

How Is Unrefined Salt Harvested?

Unrefined salt has not been put through various machines to remove the minerals and other elements that are naturally part of the salt. In addition, unrefined salt has not been exposed to harsh chemicals. Finally, unrefined salt will have the minerals and elements associated with its origin.
 

Celtic Sea Salt

In the case of Celtic Sea Salt, it is harvested near the coast of northwestern France. Ocean water is channeled through a series of clay-lined ponds. Next, the wind and sun evaporate the ocean water, leaving mineral rich brine. When the salt farmer gathers the brine using wooden tools, salt crystals begin to form. This is essentially the same method of gathering salt as the ancient Celts used over 2,000 years ago.

This gentle method of gathering the salt ensures that the salt will contain healthy minerals and other elements that are meant to be in salt. There are other sources of unrefined salt besides Celtic Sea Salt. Redmond’s Real Salt® is mined from salt deposits near Redmond, Utah. Redmond’s salt does not undergo a refining process and therefore contains a wide array of minerals. Table 3 gives you the major contents of unrefined Redmond’s Salt.

Why You Should Use Unrefined Salt: The pH Factor

As previously mentioned, unrefined salt has many healthy minerals associated with it. On the other hand, refined salt contains primarily sodium and chloride as well as toxic additives. Unrefined salt is a whole food product which is easily utilized by the body. The additional minerals such as magnesium and potassium are essential for a healthy immune system. These additional agents are meant to be ingested at the same time as sodium and chloride are ingested. Refined salt, in its highly processed form, is an unnatural substance to the body. Over millennia of time, our bodies were not exposed to salt as just sodium and chloride. Humans evolved over time using natural, unrefined salt with its full complement of minerals. Enzymes and hormones in our bodies were designed to utilize salt in its whole, natural form; not in a foreign, refined state.

The consequence of utilizing salt in a devitalized form is a poorly functioning immune system, initiation and acceleration of chronic illness, and promotion of acidity.
 

Acidity and Alkalinity

The pH of the body is a measure of the acidity or alkalinity of the body. In an acidic body, the pH is lowered, while in an alkaline body, the pH is elevated. The body has many overlapping mechanisms designed to keep the pH of the body in a neutral statearound pH of 7.2.

When the pH of the body becomes either too acidic or too alkaline, normal physiologic functions decline. The organs of the body (kidneys, liver, brain, etc.,) do not function efficiently unless the pH of the body is neutral (≈7.2). Enzymes, the catalysts for the body, are very sensitive to pH changes. They will lose most of their function when the pH is altered. Immune system cells are unable to protect us when the pH is imbalanced. In fact, no part of the body will work efficiently if the pH is not properly balanced.

An acidic pH is associated with many chronic illnesses including cancer, arthritis, osteoporosis, and Candida, as well as hormonal imbalances. Majid Ali, one of the foremost practitioners in holistic medicine has written that an acidic pH is a marker of the absence of health in the body.
 

Food and pH

The food we eat can have a dramatic effect on pH. Generally, refined foods, devitalized of all the healthy vitamins, minerals, and enzymes, are acidifying to the body. Minerals are one of the most alkalinizing agents to the body. Due to poor diets, many people today are mineral deficient. Mineral deficiency is often associated with a lowered pH (<7.0). Refined salt has no minerals in it, while unrefined salt is loaded with minerals. It is not rocket science to realize that unrefined salt will be better to promote a healthy pH.

In fact, all refined foods, (including refined sugar, flour, oils, etc.) lack minerals, vitamins, and enzymes. When we eat these devitalized foods, our body has to use its own store of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes to break down food. Over time, this will lead to nutrient deficiencies and chronic illness. Furthermore, eating devitalized food leads to acidity in the body. Due the prevalence of refined food, it is no wonder that most people run on the acidic side. My experience has shown that it is impossible to overcome chronic illness when there is an acidic condition present. Cancer and chronic illness are two of the consequences of an acidic pH. Cancer cells will proliferate in an acidic environment. In fact, most chronic illnesses will occur in an acidic environment. It is very difficult to overcome any chronic illness if the pH of the body is acidic (i.e., pH<7.2). In an experiment at home (performed by my daughter Jessi), one teaspoon of Celtic Sea Salt in ½ cup of filtered water increased the pH of the water from 6.4 (baseline) to 6.8-7.0. The same amount of refined salt, on the other hand, decreased the pH from 6.4 to 6.0. Refined salt, lacking the buffering effect of the minerals, is an acidifying substance for the body. On the other hand, unrefined salt helps to maintain a more neutral pH and can actually help elevate an acidic pH.

In order to promote a more neutral pH, unrefined salt needs to be the salt of choice. Refined salt should be avoided at all costs.

Sue, 61 years old, has numerous food allergies. Over the years, she has become more and more allergic. Sue was reacting to nearly everything she was in contact with including foods. “I don’t know what to eat. Everything seems to bother me,” she complained. Now, she even has difficulty with taking supplements because she reacts to them. “I can’t even take vitamins because they upset my body. I feel like I am allergic to everything,” she said. Sue had tried different techniques to help her allergies with minimal effects. When I had Sue check the pH of her urine and saliva, she found that her pH was very acidic. Upon further investigation, Sue found that foods containing refined salt caused her pH to become more acidic. She said, “I could not believe that the foods that you eat can change the pH so dramatically.” When Sue removed refined salt from her diet and added Celtic Sea Salt, her pH significantly increased. “The most important thing I found was that when my pH elevated, my food allergies went away. I felt much better. My energy improved and I could think more clearly. Also, I am able to take supplements when my pH is elevated,” she said. Now, Sue monitors her pH daily and adjust her diet accordingly.
 

Final Thoughts

There is a huge difference between refined and unrefined salt. Unrefined salt is packed with essential minerals and supplies the body with a proper balance of sodium and chloride with over 80 trace minerals.

Refined salt is a poor food choice. It has no place in our diet. Without the balancing effect of the trace minerals, refined salt provides the body with too much sodium. Sodium was meant to be ingested with its complement of trace minerals. The consequences of the ingestion of large amounts of refined salt are mineral deficiencies, acidity, and the onset of chronic illness. Unrefined salt should be the salt of choice. My clinical experience clearly shows that this is a healthier salt choice, as compared to refined salt.

This book is itself a lesson and training in the Art of Devotion.

Those who choose to see devotion as an act of weakness have yet to discover why Bhakti yoga is the highest—and fastest—path to God-realization. Why is that? Simply put:  Devotion is quickest path to self-love, and the journey to God-realization is the journey into absolute and total, unconditional love of and for all aspects of self. And it is by our devotion to another (and all others) that we master loving ourselves. Add to that the fact that, when your gaze and devotion is directed at a God-realized being, you are receiving the darshan of that one (his blessing, which is an infusion of his actual God-vibration), you are receiving a direct transference of spiritual power, and you are accelerating your soul’s evolution faster than by any other means available to humankind.

Reading this book will change the way many people see the act of devotion. It is My intention and hope that, by reading this (and other books by and about fully God-realized Masters), you will find greater strength, inspiration, encouragement, and will become smitten with a newfound love of God. Most of all, may you discover the true spiritual power and myriad benefits to be gained through the selfless and masterful practice of devotion.

A:  You have it backwards! It is by loving your children and serving them, caring for them, that you vicariously heal all the hurts, pains, and wounds from your own childhood. This is the antithesis of “pushing yourself aside” (i.e. repressing your pain); instead, you use your wounds and pain as the impetus and inspiration to be the best, most loving father these children could ever have wanted. It is in this way that you heal those wounds. When you repress your wounds and issues, you automatically amplify them and pass them on to your children.

The cure for projecting your negativity onto your children is not projecting on them, and it is as easy as that! Go buy yourself a punching bag, and you can hit (project on) that or go out for a jog whenever you feel the need or desire to vent your anger and frustration.

Choosing to be love is also remarkably easy, not to mention its being your natural state, as created in God’s image. It takes infinitely more effort and energy to be non-loving than to be loving—said effort also being the primary cause of most all aging and disease that afflicts one’s otherwise immortal body and soul.

The Power of Words Over Water

Can water be affected by our words? Dr. Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist, believes so. And he has proof.
 

Dr. Emoto took water droplets, exposed them to various words, music, and environments, and froze them for three hours. He then examined the crystal formations under a dark field microscope. And he took photographs. The results were totally mind-blowing.

The molecular structure is in disarray.

Wait A Minute—Aren’t You Made Up Of Water?

Yes! 72% of your body is made up of water. Imagine how your words affect your own body. When you say, “I’m a failure,” or “I’m hopeless,” or “I won’t get well,” imagine how these words weaken your health. Make a choice to say the best words out there. Say often, “I’m wonderful,” “I’m beautiful,” “I’m God’s child,” and “God has a great plan for my life!” It’s not only water.

Dr. Emoto also experimented with cooked rice. He placed one cup of cooked rice in two airtight jars. On one jar, he wrote, “I love you,” and on the other, “You fool.” Everyday for 30 days, Dr. Emoto would say these words to each jar of rice. After 30 days, the “I love you” rice was still white. But the “You fool” rice was so rotten, it was black. How can you explain this?

Just as a side note: When I was a child, my mother taught me to pray before meals. Now I realize it wasn’t just a nice thing to do. When I pray over my meal, I know a material transformation takes place in the molecular level of the food that I pray for. I say, “Be blessed,” to the water and food on the table—and I expect it to be blessed. I encourage you to speak words of truth. Dethrone the lies in your mind. Say, “I’m beautiful.” Say, “I’m a wonderful person.” Say, “I have a great future.” Say, “I’m anointed. I’m strong. I’m blessed.”
 

Louix:  People have often said, “You are what you think.” Now you can also clearly see that, “You are what you speak.”

 “Where your consciousness goes, your consciousness grows.”

Speak only love. Think only love. Feel only love. Choose only love. Act only love.

A:  As far as your question about this woman possibly being your twin flame, it is very clear that you have forgotten one of the fundamentals of My teachings:

“God is your twin flame.”

You will never find completion outside of self. Your twin flame is not a person. It is your relationship with The Beloved. Everyone who comes asking Me, “Is this my twin flame?” is totally on the wrong track. You are setting yourself up for a very large upset if you continue in this pursuit of a “twin flame.”

What I will tell you, and what serves your soul’s highest and best interests, is to follow your heart. If you feel close to this woman, and your heart stirs when you are with her, then just allow the process to unfold naturally. Stay out of your head in trying to figure out the outcome. Remember this:

“You do not journey to a goal. The journey is the goal.”

In alignment with our Foundation’s “green” initiatives, I feel it is important to relay this information about the upcoming “Earth Hour 2010,” to take place on March 27, 2010 (Saturday), during which people all over the world will be turning off their lights for one hour beginning at precisely 8:30 p.m. (in their respective time zones). The rippling wave of darkness that will wash over the globe spanning a 24-hour period of “one hour of no lights” will be a dazzling spectacle to behold. Last year almost one billion people participated. This year could easily become the most heavily participated event in world history. To think:  You and I could be a part of it.

Let us join together and send this message throughout the world and throughout the entire Cosmos—about conserving our natural resources, going “green,” developing freer and cleaner energy supplies… and (let us not forget) about this being a colossal event to weave all humanity more and more deeply together as one Family in the heart of God.

On Earth Hour hundreds of millions of people, organizations, corporations, and governments around the world will come together to make a bold statement about their concern for climate change by doing something quite simple—turning off their lights for one hour. In places where people are already feeling the impacts of climate change, Earth Hour sends a clear message that we care about this issue and want to turn the lights out on dirty air, dangerous dependency on oil, and costly climate change impacts, and make the switch to cleaner air, and a strong economic future.

Participation is easy. Simply turn off your lights on March 27th at 8:30 p.m., local time, for one hour. That is all you need to do. Oh, and it would also be a great help if you would “spread the word.” Tell your friends  and co-workers, and feel free to forward this e-mail to whomever you wish.

Dearest Pranananda,

Hello dear Teacher… I have a profound story to share with You, regarding an act of kindness You gifted me recently, and how much it meant to me.

Last week, I returned from an 11-day, silent, Vipassana meditation retreat.  If You’re not aware of this technique, Vipassana (in a nutshell) asks participants to go deep into the sensations of their bodies, and learn to and remain neutral to what comes up, as a vehicle for just being with (i.e. accepting) “what is.” During what they call “Strong Sittings of Determination,” we sit for at least an hour—without moving a muscle—going deep into these sensations, and acting as the impartial observer as much as is possible. Our meditation schedule was intensely rigorous:  10 hours and 45 minutes a day, honoring noble silence for 10 of the 11 days… very little food… just depth, introspection, observation, and being with what is.

On Day 4 of the adventure, they taught us the really deep part of the meditation technique, and that’s when it was requested that we stop moving for an hour at a time. I had a story running through my head—that I wouldn’t be able to do it, that I simply didn’t have the stillness or stamina to stop moving, nor did I have the strength to remain impervious to the pain I knew would surface. But something had clicked in me earlier in the day:  I had felt a deep trust in this process, sensing how much it could help me, and I decided to give it my all. If I could sit still for this first one-hour experience, then I would stay, knowing it was in fact “for me,” and that I was capable of completing this intense process.

Roughly forty minutes in, I started caving in. The pain in my body felt devastatingly intense, and I felt as if I had nothing to hold onto. At the very moment I was about to give up and move, giving in to my ego’s desires, Your image lit up in front of me. “Why don't you ever call on Me for help?” You asked me gently (or not so gently, if I recall correctly.) I really didn’t have an answer (something about being stubborn). “Do you remember what I said to You, the day you acknowledged that I am your Guru?”

“Yes, I do. You said that You would never do anything that wouldn’t serve me.” I watched Your eyes very intently, and then finally uttered the words, inside my mind:  “Pranananda, please help.” All You did then is lock Your gaze directly onto mine. I stared deeply into Your eyes and totally lost myself, as well as the story of the pain, the resistance to the process. Everything became fluid, and my strength rose up to greet my struggling mind. We shared a smile, and then Your image vanished. But I was strong again—rock solid—as I completed the meditation.

For the rest of the retreat, my focus and strength would at times wane, but I stayed for the entire journey, and did a fairly decent job of transcending the resistance. The experience turned out to be incredibly profound. I have found a stillness inside, which I had never before accessed, and I’ve been in a really strong, centered, and detached-yet-loving space in the days since. I want You to know how much You helped me access this divine center, and how much I appreciate all You do for all of us.

Thank You for being there when I needed You most, and for reminding me that I only need ask.

So looking forwarding to seeing You in a few weeks, here in Las Vegas. Zimmaron mentioned that You are planning to see the show “Le Reve.” I would love to buy Your ticket as a tiny reflection of my thanks. You’ll love “Le Reve.” It’s really enchanting.

Pranananda Enters 40-Day Fast

On February 9th, Louix entered what was originally planned to be a 13-day fast, in honor of the upcoming Divine Romance Day and ceremony He would lead on February 13th, as well as in preparation for our Shivaratri ceremonies here at Prema Drala, in addition to His other personal and private reasons, known only to the Master. As always, whenever a Master enters a period of fasting, there are great blessings to be had by all disciples and devotees, as well as by the world at large. On this particular occasion, many of the disciples at Prema Drala joined Him for several days during the first week of His fast.

Unbeknown to us all was the Master’s imminent revelation (before completing the 13 days) that He would continue this fast for a full 40 days and 40 nights, twice the duration of the longest Louix has ever undertaken. A fast of this length is a most rare and auspicious event. It is for this reason that we wish to inform others, that they may unite with Him in consciousness at this time, to more deeply and profoundly avail themselves of the blessings that are available by way of this sacred event. Louix’s fast shall complete at 1:00 p.m. on March 21st, 2010, also the day of the Spring Equinox. Many have already spoken that they plan to again join Him in fasting for the last several days or for the last week of His fast, to again accelerate their own cleansings, and for the powerful, synergistic transformation they will derive by so doing. If you choose to be one of this cadre of souls, as always, “Listen to your body. Obey its requests. And, if you are not accustomed to fasting, please—by all means—do so with proper mentoring and guidance.”

May we all celebrate in the Oneness of His love. Thank You, Guruji, for doing this for us all. We are so blessed. We are so grateful.

Las Vegas Events – November 2009 and February 2010

On November 14th, Louix Dor Dempriey gave darshan to 85 people at a private home in Las Vegas. Louix entered the transcendental state of consciousness known as Samadhi, and, for the next three hours He gazed deeply into each person's eyes as He anointed them, at times delivering guidance and Revelation to some. Two days later, on November 16th, many people who had attended the Darshan, along with a new group of curious aspirants, arrived at the Sun City MacDonald Ranch (nestled on the city's southeastern outskirts) to experience yet another intimate “Evening with Louix.” He answered questions from the audience regarding spiritual concepts, lovingly guiding many through challenging life circumstances, and offering Divine pearls of wisdom.

In mid-February, Louix returned to be with His beloveds in Las Vegas for two more bliss-filled events, held once again at the beautiful Sun City MacDonald Ranch. On February 20th, He gave darshan to over 70 people, and two days later He led a silent meditation. Then, while still in a very God-intoxicated state, He traveled the room and anointed each person with vibhuti. After He returned to His chair, He answered various questions from the audience, delivering many priceless discourses to those in attendance. We offer our heartfelt gratitude to the spiritual community of Las Vegas for their wonderful welcome, service, and commitment to helping us share Louix's love and teachings with the world.

Louix's Visit to Australia – December 2009/January 2010

On December 8th, the disciples at Prema Drala Ashram bid farewell to Guruji as He departed for His month-long sojourn in Australia. His disciples and devotees from Sundara Aravinda Ashram welcomed the arrival of their beloved Guru in Melbourne, Australia. His daughter Ariel Ganesha also came to Melbourne, arriving one week later. His itinerary spanned four weeks, and included the following events:  Devotional Singing, Community Dinners, Movie Nights, a Pranayama, Disciple Training, Guided Meditations, a Q&A Session, Private Audiences, Media Interviews, and a four-day New Year's Eve retreat in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Guruji also shared meals with, and gave personal discourses and guidance to His disciples and devotees. Louix would often enter samadhi, and many people would be effortlessly transformed by the all-consuming love felt in His presence—a feast for the heart and soul!

On December 17th, Louix's birthday, He held a public darshan at the BMW Edge at Federation Square, an ultra-contemporary glass amphitheatre overlooking the Yarra River in downtown Melbourne. The auspiciousness of this day was evidenced by the blessing of a (desperately needed) heavy rainfall. Over 100 people flowed in to receive Louix's blessing, while Kirtan group Sushumna played the most enchanting devotional music throughout the event. Something very unique to this event—held in the central business district of a bustling metropolis—was that many in attendance had never been in the presence of a spiritual Master. This added a very touching and  inspirational element to the evening.

On December 29th, 74 souls arrived at the Country Place at Kalorama, to take part part in Louix's bi-annual New Year's Eve residential retreat. Over the next four days, participants basked in Louix's constant emanation of unconditional love. They partook in meditations, yoga sessions, and devotional singing, enjoyed sumptuous vegan feasts, and received guidance from Louix on many subjects. One special evening included a performance of meditative Tibetan bowl playing from special guest Garth Stone. Far more than ever before were great numbers of people having profound kundalini awakenings and experiencing shakti coursing through their bodies, merely by Louix's glance or touch.

Over 40 disciples and devotees gathered on January 4th for Louix's farewell dinner. This was followed by devotional singing, during which they expressed their love and gratitude to Guruji for the amazing past four weeks. Guruji hugged and thanked everyone and invited them to the 2010 New Year's Retreat which will be held in the United States. He beckoned all to go and spread the love and blessings they had received.

Louix proclaims 2010 as The Year of Adoration

On New Year's Eve, Louix celebrated His annual tradition of gathering with His beloveds to ring in the New Year and deliver His benediction for the upcoming year. He proclaimed 2010 as The Year of Adoration—the year to truly enter The Divine Romance (our love affair with God) like never before. As part of His guidance as to how each of us can deepen our relationship with The Beloved, He highly recommends that we recite The Everlasting Covenant as often as possible. He also recommends reading the book Miracle of Love (by Ram Dass) to vicariously experience the sublime devotion and adoration of which He speaks, and to see the all-transforming power of that love. Louix Returns to Prema Drala Ashram – January 2010

On January 9th, in honor of Guruji’s return from Australia, the ashram held an intimate evening of Devotional Singing (with Louix as lead singer—a rare occurrence thus far at Pranam’s public events). Pranam led the music, playing favorites as well as some new songs. The evening concluded with some beautiful toning and “Oms” led by Pranananda, which left everyone in the most exalted vibration of love.

On January 23rd, a public darshan was held at Prema Drala and approximately 65 people attended. Pranam serenaded the room with devotional songs as Guruji blessed and anointed each person who came before Him. Many new faces joined us for this bliss-filled event.

On February 12th, we celebrated the holy day of Shivaratri. The disciples held a puja to our Guru (who was physically present) and sang devotional songs to Lord Shiva.

On February 13th, in honor of The Divine Romance—the day wherein we re-consecrate and recommit our lives to The Beloved of our souls, our Creator—Louix led a ceremony at  Prema Drala Ashram that was open to the public. It began with a meditation which held the theme of God adoring us at the moment of our creation. He ended the meditation by having everyone recite The Everlasting Covenant, and we completed the ceremony by singing "Hosannah."

We sailed out from Dana Point Harbor in a small catamaran dedicated specifically to viewing dolphins and whales. The ocean was truly as calm as a lake—which is a miracle in itself (as we were about three miles out to sea), and something Pranananda said He had never once seen or experienced, to this degree, in all His 24 years living in Southern California. After we were cruising for a while, Pranananda turned to me and said, “Is this okay for you?” I laughed, and thanked Him for the calm seas. He invited me to join Him at the bow of the boat, where we stood on a thick net which was about two feet above the water, which we could see right below our often-splashed feet.

Before long, we saw a pod of dolphins feeding up ahead of us. They were jumping out of the water and birds were dive-bombing the fish in a feeding frenzy. The captain steered the boat towards the pod, but before we got too close, some of the dolphin (unbeknownst to us) had left the pod and traveled a couple of hundred yards to our boat and suddenly surfaced—directly beneath Pranananda’s and my feet. What with the netting we were standing on, less than three feet over the water, it felt and looked like we were riding the dolphins! The pair remained there for a minute or so, then moved ahead, beyond the bow, so that we were leaning over the railing, reaching our hands for them, as they kept lifting their heads up and out of the water just beyond our reach. It was amazing to be that close to these beautiful creatures, which were clearly engaging with us on a very personal level.

Soon thereafter, we saw the first whale’s “footprint,” a circular slick which interrupts or overrides the movement of the sea, maintaining a flattened, waveless appearance. This indicates where a whale has just submerged after having surfaced, and it remains for sometimes up to a minute. The boat then traveled in the direction of the footprint, and within 3-4 minutes, she surfaced again… such a beautiful gray whale, about 30 feet long, with spots and barnacles on her back. We followed her for a while, enjoying three or four series of her ascents, each time just arching through the surface, only enough for us to see her dorsal fin and a small portion of her back on either side of it.

The captain started telling us that she was only a gray whale, that gray whales are very shy with people, and that she probably wouldn’t give us much of a show—that she probably wouldn’t even fluke her tail. “They are very homely whales” he said, “really the only unattractive whale species of all the many kinds of whales,” putting her down. Pranananda exclaimed (to us), “Oh, no, don’t speak about her that way!” He and I were practically in tears, so overwhelmed were we by her love, her beauty, and her majesty.  He then called out to her, “Don’t listen to him. He knows not what he is saying. We love you. You are very beautiful. And we know you will show yourself to us.”  And would you believe—within thirty seconds of His saying that—about a dozen perfect, long-stemmed, white roses appeared in the water on our side of the boat, drifting by us one at a time, sometimes two. They were huge and absolutely perfect white roses, having no sun, cold, or water damage whatsoever, and appearing as though they were just taken out of the refrigerator of a florist shop. As soon as the last rose passed Pranananda, up she came:  the closest she had yet surfaced to us, and she fluked her tail right at us, something she had not yet done (and did not do again for the rest of our cruise). He told me that the whale telepathically thanked Him for His love and His kind words, saying that she had sent Him roses as a “Thank You” for defending her honor.

We followed her for about an hour, all told, enjoying her show. All the while we cruised along, Pranananda was communing with her and telling me where she was, where she would surface—and when!—as He could feel her depth and movement in the ocean, as measured (to scale) from His base chakra to His throat.

Wow! Was I ever overwhelmed by the experience.  It was so beautiful. I was crying then… as I am now, as I remember.

I got back from Laguna after six days of being at the ashram, feeling amazing and light and full of energy. They were incredible days; the energy there is amazing! The weather was beautiful! At the Darshan this time I got to experience the "Heart Opening," which was intense energy flowing through my body, heart pounding, outside—induced pranic breathing (almost hyperventilating), and then extreme sobbing. I was taken to Pranananda. He held me close and tight and told me that our past life together ended tragically, and that was the reason I was so resistant, but also why I felt I knew him and was so drawn to him. So he erased the cellular memory from my body (of the pain from that past life), and I fell to the floor afterwards in a fetal position and sobbed for a long time in Zim's lap. Pranananda later told me, in our audience the next day, that it was like an internal implosion. It really felt like that. It was incredible! After that, I was blissful.

I was granted a private audience with him at the last minute on Sunday morning, along with my friend Donna, and I had just fifteen minutes to get ready. It was amazing to sit in front of this man and listen to him and talk with him about everything. I got the whole thing on CD, thanks to Markus, who said, “That way you won’t forget what he tells you.” Donna and I listened to both of our recordings together on the way home. It was enlightening to listen to each other’s experiences..

I was talking Sunday night with the disciples about angels, and I said I was fascinated by them but didn’t believe in them. They said, "Have you ever asked to see them?” I said "No." So, that night I did ask. Well, the next day (Monday night), I walked out to watch the sunset and, lo and behold, the clouds that formed in front of me manifested as angels. I was smart enough to take my camera, and now I have proof that they exist and showed themselves in a way that wouldn’t frighten me. I showed the photos to Pranananda and he exclaimed: Wow! He was exuberant about the photos, and so were the disciples. Zim said they showed up in legions for me!

So this trip was amazing! All the disciples were wonderful and supportive. The vegan food was awesome, and I didn’t sleep as long as I usually do. I was also up early every morning with all kinds of energy. The energy and vibe at the ashram was like nothing I can explain. I felt at "Home" with these people, and I love them and Pranananda so much. I truly believe that Pranananda is my Guru. What amazing things I felt and was shown in his Divine presence… and his love is beautiful.

Q:  Here is a photo that was taken recently at our wedding. Could You tell me what are all those circles appearing in the photo?

A:  The strange phenomena all around you in your wedding photos are spirits which were captured on film. Whenever “spirit” is captured on film, it is commonly known as ectoplasm, living (or divine) energy which may or may not be holding—at least, visibly—a physical form as matter. This particular type of phenomenon appearing in your photo is known as an orb.

They are, essentially, beings; in your case, some of the many, many angels who not only walk with you on a daily basis, but who were/are in great celebration on this momentous day (who doesn’t like weddings and parties?). Orbs do not exclusively represent angels, nor were there only angels present at your wedding. Deceased family members, nature spirits, other astral beings, extraterrestrials, et. al. are around all of us all the time. Rest assured, the ones appearing in your photo are all very loving in nature, and very happy!

You can do an Internet search, under “orbs,” and see lots of photos of them. We have many pictures of orbs in our ashram photo archives. They are captured quite often on film here. There was one very auspicious thing about yours, however. I have never seen such intricate patterning, as is evidenced in your photo, within the large orb on the left. Very nice.

Peter’s beloved, Marianne, had passed on less than a year prior, and she was very close to Henry. Henry was the light of her life. So, everybody at the ashram felt that, by keeping the dog alive, they were vicariously keeping Marianne alive and thereby keeping the last thread (in their minds) of attachment to their earthly life with Marianne.

On the story went… until I got there. I knew, upon walking in, that the first thing I had to do was to cut their cords of attachment and fear, and help this dog to move on. So, I sat down with Henry and had a little private ceremony, just him and Me. I whispered to him and said, “Don’t worry, I will take care of this.” He thanked Me and begged Me to help, saying, "Thank You so much. They just won’t let me go… they won’t let me go."

I waited for the opportune moment, gathered everybody in the community together, and we all sat in the room around Henry. He had a special pillow in front of the fireplace, which was his spot. Now, for these last two years, he almost never got up from there. At first, upon sharing what I am saying now and what I was about to say to them, there was an unspoken level of disagreement (for various reasons):  thinking I was either exaggerating, or making more of it than it was, or that what I was saying simply wasn’t so. From their point of view, the dog was still walking, eating, and functioning, but they had blinded themselves. Their attachments, their pain, and their fear had blinded them to even see the truth. Coupled with that, Henry was putting on a facade for them, using every ounce of strength he had to hide the sheer agony that he was in all the time—an agony to which I, as the story goes on, was witness.

Before we had this gathering, there was a moment when everybody was out of the house, and I was there by myself, alone with Henry. At one point, Henry slowly started to get up to go outside. There was a little landing outside the back door and it was only one small step higher than ground level. It wasn’t even a step like one on a staircase; it was just a slab of cement. It only rose about four inches, maybe five, but much less than the height of a standard step. The dog stood on top of that tiny landing, staring off the side of it, like he was looking off the edge of the Grand Canyon, some 2,000-3,000 feet below him; as though he would plummet to his death if he were to step these couple of inches off the cement onto the earth… not to mention how he could even do it, since he clearly had almost no command or power over his legs—something nobody here seemed to notice, and something Henry had successfully hidden from them all (out of his love for them) and which I alone was now privy to see.

I sat quietly. I didn’t move a muscle. I blocked Henry from feeling my energy or knowing that I was watching him, so that he wouldn't know anyone was watching. I saw this dog stand there for almost a minute before he summoned the courage to take that one step off the landing, so that he could walk on the earth. When he finally did, his legs wobbled, his whole body shook, and he was filled with fear. He looked as though his legs would crumble and his bones would break beneath the weight of his beyond-frail body.

He hobbled about ten feet to a spot where he could hopefully lie down on the grass in the shade. Every time he tried to bend his legs, he would wince in pain, bearing facial expressions just like a person in extreme pain would do. The side of his mouth pulled to the side, stretched, and his eye wrinkled and stretched on the side. With every attempt, he would barely bend his legs an inch and try to lower his bottom, in an attempt to sit down—something all dogs instinctively do all their lives—but he couldn’t. He tried to lower his torso but couldn’t. He then began to walk slowly in circles, falsely believing (and yet hoping all the same) that if he went around and around enough times, he would wind up in a lying position without ever actually having to bend his legs. When he finally reached the ground, he winced again and just sat there. The whole drama took him several minutes:  to walk fifteen feet from the fireplace to the back door, and then another ten feet out onto the grass and lie down. This was something that, in his heyday, would have taken him less than thirty seconds, but it now took minutes… because nobody was around, so he didn’t have to hide. He never let them see his true level of pain because he knew they didn’t want to let him go. Seeing this really wrenched my heart even more—the violation that was going on here.

As I was saying, I gathered everybody together. Henry was back on his mat, in front of the fireplace. We all sat in a semi-circle around him, and then I started by saying, “This dog died a year and a half ago. He is in his light-body. He is only breathing because you folks won’t let him go. You have got to let this dog go.” I had My hands on Henry most of the time I spoke. I was simultaneously and telepathically speaking with him, and it was just so beautiful. Little by little, one by one, the beloveds in the room were surrendering. People started crying and saying, “Oh, I felt that all along and I knew.” (Only yesterday, when I first arrived, they were saying, “He is fine, he is doing much better,” when I asked them how they felt about the dog.) Today was the Day of Reckoning, and now it was My turn to take a stand for this poor dog. “Folks, wake up! This dog died a year and a half ago.”  I shared with them what I witnessed when no one was in the house, about how this dog could barely stand, walk, or even sit down.  I revealed to everyone how Henry had been using all the love and the strength he could muster, calling God’s help (no doubt) to hide it from them because he knew they wouldn’t let him go.

By now, everybody was crying, apologizing to Me, and apologizing to Henry, saying, “Oh, I knew. Why did I do this?” Next, I had them each come up to the dog, one by one, to apologize, tell him how much they loved him, and give him permission to leave this world. The whole ceremony took about an hour. In the end, Henry, our beautiful ashram dog, was finally at peace and thanked Me with all his heart. I was sitting next to him throughout the whole rite of passage, with the semi-circle of beloveds formed around us.  

I was speaking to the group about Henry's ties with Marianne, his need to go, and his wanting to move on. "This is what really serves him best and, really, what will connect everyone to Marianne’s spirit far more than torturing a dog that wants and needs to die." While I was talking, I happened to turn my head and notice today's local newspaper on the floor behind Peter (Henry's owner). On the cover was a full-page color photo of a middle-aged woman—similar to Marianne—with her dog, a dog just like Henry. The title of the cover story on the newspaper—where they live, on that same day I was there for this whole event—read something like:  “Saved at Last—a Woman Reunited with Her Dog.” (Interesting that the paper, which had been sitting, face up, right in front of everyone, was only noticed once everyone had gone through the healing and had agreed to go through with the euthanasia and finally let Henry go.) So there, on this newspaper, is the woman (symbolic of Marianne) hugging her dog, with this big, beaming smile on her face. I picked up the article and said, “What do you think of this? How auspicious is this! On today’s paper, on the day I am giving you this talk, Marianne will be reunited with Henry.” Everyone burst into tears, crying with happiness and joy at the synchronicity.

When all was said and done, Peter’s daughter, Monique, quietly reached into her pocket, pulled out her cell phone, and innocuously took a picture to capture this moment for posterity—-not thinking anything… just a little, quickie, low-grade photo on a cell phone. Then she said, “Oh my God. Pranananda, You need to see this.” She turned to show Me, and there was a picture of Henry with these two colored floodlights for eyes! His dog eyes were gone:  one was pure gold and other emerald green, the color of the heart chakra… just pure light. There he was, in his light-body—just as the Master had told them—happy as a clam, and ready to go.

We made an appointment with the vet to come and euthanize Henry the next day (her first available appointment). We were going to hold the cremation right here at the ashram. We were going to build a giant funeral pyre (for which we obtained a fire permit from the county) and cremate the body right on the same property where he spent the final years of his life. It was all so beautiful.

Everybody got to witness, first-hand, the power, the presence, the grace, and the divine orchestration of the Creator, in its glory and in its fullness. The lesson here is that we just need to get out of the way, and let Nature flow according to its own perfect order and timing and place. With God, all things are possible.

Thank you, Henry, for gifting us all such a wonderful, heart-opening, and transformational experience… but, mostly, thank you for giving us the joy and the privilege of sharing so many precious years with you. You truly will live in our hearts forever.

Recent Events at Prema Drala Ashram

On August 21st, Pranam, Prema Drala’s devotional music group, played their first official public event at the grand opening of Lotus 7 yoga studio in Rancho Santa Margarita, playing in the background during their “happy hour” yoga. On August 23rd, Pranam had their first public “Evening of Devotional Chanting” at Yoga Shakti Studio of Irvine. The event fell on the auspicious day of Ganesha Chaturthi, and, as such, Lord Ganesha was honored with special prayers and chanting as the main part of the event. Pranam also held two “Evenings of Devotional Chanting” at Unity Church of Tustin on September 9th and 16th. These were their first shows at the church, and many of its members loved the show and were eager for future events with the band!
 

A public darshan was held at 25742 La Serra on September 19th—the first public event to be held at Prema Drala's newest ashram home, located in Laguna Hills, California. Approximately sixty people attended, with some guests traveling from as far away as Joshua Tree, California. Pranam played live music for the event, and many people basked in the beautiful energy in the room, receiving blessings and healings.

A team of disciples from Prema Drala Ashram attended the first Bhaktifest from September 9 – 11th, held at Joshua Tree National Park. They ran a product and information booth for the Louix Dor Dempriey Foundation at the event, which drew an estimated two thousand people! Bhaktifest was centered around yoga and kirtan, featuring live performances from over forty kirtan groups, including Dave Stringer, Jai Uttal, and Donna De Lory.

On September 22nd, Pranananda led a public Equinox Meditation in which He helped us to align our energies with the new season—amplifying their impact on our lives and encouraging us to be in harmony with the ebb and flow of the seasons. He spoke of expressing our gratefulness for the Fall’s harvest, both the bitter and the sweet.

On October 10th, we held “An Evening with Louix” at Prema Drala Ashram. He opened the event with a guided meditation to cleanse the chakras and invoke Divine Light into our bodies, and then gave a discourse on the nature of Enlightenment, a topic which is widely misunderstood these days. After the discourse, He answered various questions from the audience, delivering pearls of wisdom and using His own stories to illustrate the very same.

On October 17th, several disciples participated in the annual “Walk for Hope” charity event. The event is a five-kilometer walk decorated with inspiring handmade quotes. The purpose of the event is to spread more love in the world and to raise money for the charity of the participants’ choice. The Louix Dor Dempriey Foundation raised money for Love Without Boundaries, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of orphans and impoverished children in China.

Louix's Visit to New York City, October 2009

On October 21st, Louix Dor Dempriey and several disciples from Prema Drala Ashram arrived in New York City and received a heartfelt welcome from their New York spiritual family. The next five days proved to be a transformational experience of unconditional love for all those who had the blessing of being in His presence. It is with great joy and excitement that we announce this year’s celebrations to honor the 48th birthday of Louix Dor Dempriey (Bhagavan Sri Pranananda). Each year, disciples and devotees around the world hold a three-day celebration as an expression of our gratitude for His presence in our lives and on this planet, and to attune to the Divine energies that are available to all on this hallowed day.

Each year, Louix spends His birthday with His beloveds in a different part of the world. This year, Louix will attend His birthday celebrations at Sundara Aravinda Ashram, in Melbourne, Australia. His ashrams all over the world will host various events and gatherings, which all are welcome to attend.
